Saw that reg plate LO23 TUS sold in auction today for £1k. No idea what the rate is for that kind of plate but seems reasonable?

Sounds about right to me.

As mentioned elsewhere on this forum, I purchased FE72LOT direct from the DVLA (not an auction) last summer for £399, when I thought I was getting the car last autumn. So, I am going to have a 23 plate car with a 72 plate reg! I don't want to waste the reg, particularly because I have written it in felt tip on a cardboard folder and it would be a shame to chuck the folder in the bin. The folder also contains a professionally bound copy of the very first mistake filled and long since withdrawn Emira owner's manual - that whole debacle also covered elsewhere on these forums.

I’m surprised it didn’t go a bit higher. DVLA Auctions would have been expecting over £1,500 I suspect. The more unique standard plates are on a scale at £599, £799 and £999.

I was at a bid of £900 for it but I was unaware my limit was set to £1000, by the time I changed my limit the hammer had fallen!

I post this to mention that there are sill 10TUS plates out there for sale and work really well. Might even have one's initials left.

Super frustrating. Over £3k including vat.

Much prefer yours Ade it's timeless, with the 23 reg plate most people won't want it for sep-23 onwards cars

Very relevant given it is undoubtedly a 10/10 knock out in the looks department
