LOTUS EMIRA ─ ECU Tuning options

The problem isn't the engine, it's the manual trans. It would have to be strengthened to handle those power levels, which is going to be expensive. It can be done, it's just going to cost... a lot.
There’s a lot of talk about the restriction in HP due to the Toyo gear box. Lots of opinions, but little experience to back the statement. I’ve had many lotuses, and modified every one of them and tracked them extensively. There are many v6 exiges in australia with well over 500 bhp. And I’ve yet to hear of someone blowing up their gearboxes. Have heard of the occasional drive train breakage..rare..but heard of them. But no gearboxes to date. Not calling anyone a liar. Just stating my own experiences.
