I posted this on another thread, but I'll add it to this discussion. You can purchase a personalized licence plate frame, from "BestLicensePlateFrames.com" (US company). They have a wide selection of options and can create all sorts of lettering combos. Here's my personalized (vanity) plate, plus their frame, together:
