Lotus Emira Gifts Arrived for Patiently Awaiting our CARB Approval (now expected by Mid March 2024)!

Non-CARB state here (NC) with FE 1.0 sitting on the lot since December waiting for pickup. Got the gift e-mail but no gift and no shipping information. I'm fairly confident it won't arrive.

While it's just an insignificant gift, the whole management of this is disgusting.

Why would they send out gifts to FE2.0 people before sending the gift to FE1.0 people who ordered nearly 2 years before them?

This really emphasizes how trash Lotus has become. Seriously, how disorganized are they to screw up so badly? The mismanagement of this gift just makes them look significantly worse now than if they just decided not to send the gifts out to anyone at all.

I asked the dealer just to put mine in the car as I figured it wouldnt really be anything I'd want (I was right). My dealer told me Lotus USA wanted to mail it and not have come thru the dealer.

Well, FE 1.0, July 11th deposit... no gift here either. In a CARB state, but can't see why that would confuse mailing a package from Michigan... GD Lotus makes it hard to trust that after sales support/service won't be a complete and total fail...

It will certainly be a total fail. The calculus is whether the car will be so good that it will be worth the headache. So far still in the game.

Je trouve la gestion de Lotus pour la livraison de l'Emira reportée à mi-mars 2024 catastrophique. Je pense que Lotus devrait faire une remise sur le prix de la voiture car cela entraînera plus de trois mois de retard de livraison !!! en plus bientôt en juillet les modèles 2025 seront vendus tout ça à cause d'une mauvaise gestion de lotus et nous les clients subissons les conséquences j'attends un geste commercial en supprimant les frais de livraison et non un cadeau un livre, une casquette, et un porte-clés!!! que je n'ai pas reçu ailleurs !!! quand pensez vous que c'est la faute de lotus pas les revendeurs qui mettent les frais de livraison avec 3 mois de retard !!! I find the management of Lotus for the delivery of the Emira postponed to mid-March 2024 catastrophic. I think that Lotus should make a discount on the price of the car because that will be more than three months late in delivery!!! in addition soon in July the 2025 models will be sold all this because of poor management of lotus and we the customers suffer the consequences I am waiting for a commercial gesture by removing the delivery costs and not a gift a book, a cap, and a key ring!!! which I did not receive elsewhere when do you think it is the fault of lotus not the dealers putting delivery costs 3 months late!!! I hear ya Cobra, but that's not going to happen. They are not going to give a discount because the pricing is between the dealer and the buyer. Lotus is not a part of the transaction.

I suspect 3 months worth of price increases and stowage. They gonna claim its the USAs fault for having CARB in the first place...and blame the supply chain of course. Also a bill for the gift for those who received them.

Here's hoping the current dates stick as the Feb 12 - March 13 dates were provided by CARB to Lotus and not a Lotus pick-a-date from their ass number.

It's just something that no bureaucratic government agency would do.

Well, it's information that was passed along by a dealer so I can only hope it's accurate.

FedEx dropped off a box at the front door today. Finally! Turned out to be some bird seed my wife ordered. I can now return to my regularly scheduled program of fruitless waiting.

They would. I have found bureaucrats to be very helpful and informative. You can see this in the Lotus EPA filings, where they get info and opinions from CARB people though email fairly easily. I am not sure of CARB's policies but it's entirely feasible that they have gotten an indication that everything seems to be in order and that it's just going through he motions for final signature and publication, with an estimated date range.

Here's my cat yesterday waiting after his Vet appointment where he suffered the indignity of having his temperature taken (think about it). Kind of a similar feeling here waiting, waiting, waiting. Oh and no gift yet either.
