Lotus Emira Gifts Arrived for Patiently Awaiting our CARB Approval (now expected by Mid March 2024)!

Ironically, I finally received my gift today! ONE DAY after taking delivery of the Emira. I'm still happy to have it, but my wife and I had a good laugh when I picked up the "Lotus Cars USA" box on the porch this afternoon.

Same here…but very nice pen, even made in Germany, that was surprising and the notebook made in Italy. I really liked the lanyard and keyfob attachment, one less thing to buy

I wanted the book also. It is the only thing with real value at $50 but it’s showing out of stock in the US. Would be nice if there’s a rain check on it but that’s unlikely.

I got my box on Friday. Thankful for the nice gesture and jealous of those who got the Lotus File book. I got a little journal in it's place. The key tag is super nice, though.

They really made the already poor (IMO) gift even worse in the 2nd round of gifts. The 3rd round will probably be a Lotus bumper sticker.

Why would they send out gifts to FE2.0 people before sending the gift to FE1.0 people who ordered nearly 2 years before them?

This really emphasizes how trash Lotus has become. Seriously, how disorganized are they to screw up so badly? The mismanagement of this gift just makes them look significantly worse now than if they just decided not to send the gifts out to anyone at all.

To be fair, some FE2 people ordered way back with the FE1 people, but that's quite rare. There are FE2 people who ordered their car only a few months ago and received the gifts, though.

To be fair, I can pick my car up (but I’m having PPF done and on vacation) but I haven’t received the gift or received notification it’s on the way. My dealer originally stated that it would ship AFTER you received your car. So I’m wondering if the dealer has more to do with the gifts getting approval to go out and each is handling it differently.

Seriously! Absolutely unclear how they are prioritizing gifts let alone cars and now the gifts themselves are different.

I'm interested in the book if you're serious!

I should clarify I wont 'give' it away free of course. I would think the entire package be a better deal though.

Wasn't the gift supposed to be a sort of mea culpa for the loooong wait and not a "thank you for purchasing" kinda-thing? That was the impression I got from the email.

If it's the former I would think that they should have been received BEFORE the car's delivery, but then again WTFDIK? I'm so smart I've had a deposit down on a car for nearly 31 months with no end in sight....

Bummer about the book, it's nice and I was planning on buying it before I received it free. But this key tag looks very nice and seems like something I would actually use. The one I received is also very nice (in the silhouette of the Emira), but it's so heavy, I really doubt that I would ever use it with a likely already heavy key fob. May be destined as a Christmas ornament or hanging somewhere else as decoration.

Def not all. I'm in the "culprit" Carb state with the CAPITAL C and got my gift (the first version) very early, likely the first wave. Would rather have a car though.
