Hi All,

First time posting. I just want to say, after hesitating on selecting the 4 cylinder vs V6, I am over the moon.

Though I only had a couple of days to drive it due to the weather, I know I made the right choice (I had driven the V6 manual in September). I picked up Hethel Yellow (flashy I know) and got the whole car PPF'd with Gentry Lane whom I bought the car from. I am quite nit picky so to speak but the guys over there (especially Paul) had me at ease.

Hoping us Ontario owners can all gather in the spring/summer!

Has anyone bought a thank you gift or done something for their dealer after a positive experience? This is my first luxury sports car so to speak.

Cheers!!

Welcome to the forum and congrats. They are great cars. It never crossed my mind that I would get my dealer a gift, but I’m not super considerate with such things.

Still waiting for a “positive experience”. I might throw them a hand grenade as a gift (minus pin).

When all the salt and brine are washed away here in NJ about another month I will let you
know how I feel about owning the I4 vs driving the V6 a few test miles.
And I paid for the car and not thinking of any gift other than the thank you when I paid and left.

I guess gifts are not something customers do for vehicle purchases..which makes sense. I just felt like my dealer went above and beyond. I took up a lot of their time :P

North jersey?

You’re publicly recognizing them on a Lotus forum which is nice. You’re probably also going to go back to them if and when you get another high end car. I think that’s enough.

Only thing I don’t like about the gift idea is it seems a bit Ferrari - you have to impress the dealers enough to be worthy of the next car. Thankfully lotus doesn’t do that.

No plans to get another Lotus or sports car. Taking this Emira to the grave :D

I don't plan on purchasing another car like this. I'm not incredibly wealthy and this is my baby. I don't think I will sell it at any point!

V6 is great and really liked the gearbox/shifter. I like the response and no lag of the I4. I am not a paddle shift user for the record
Some of the I4 video review I've seen have mentioned a delay in downshifting. Has that issue been addressed now?
