I'm anxious to see a paint sample and whether there's a metal flake within.

I attended the SSC launch event in Melbourne, they posted a YT short of the color samples. The red is metallic flaked, and in direct sunlight it is quite a warm red.

I stand by my assertion this colour is far warmer seen in the flesh, in direct sunlight. Perhaps with a sprinkle of part-shadow contrast.

It’s genuinely a cherry metallic red. I think it’s stunning in person.

If I had known that Lotus were going to fix the caliper color to match the Lotus logo on the wheel center cap, I would have ordered yellow. But all the early test cars and the online configurator all had an extremely different yellow.

Makes me re-think my black caliper decision with same body/wheels.
If that were the biggest uncertainty, would be very happy with with either!

Red callipers and stitching, I'll post more pics later I just need to pull myself together. Took delivery about an hour ago and just got home. Hadda drive through Melbourne cbd and Botanic Drive/Batman Ave past the MCG, Olympic Park.... first time I ever saw so many Bentley's, Macan's, BMW's, Audi's yada yada yada flock around like that. I kinda went under their radar, this car's roofline is like 40 inches high.

Hadda drive through Melbourne cbd and Botanic Drive/Batman Ave past the MCG, Olympic Park.... first time I ever saw so many Bentley's, Macan's, BMW's, Audi's yada yada yada flock around like that. I kinda went under their radar, this car's roofline is like 40 inches high.

Brady Street? I did see another about 2 weeks ago. In the showroom I remember a Nimbus, Hethel, Dark Verdant, and my car was under a cover. One other car in the showroom and the garage was wall-to-wall Lotus cars of every descrption. I must have seemed quite the impatient philistine, all I wanted to do was start 'er up and get 'er home. I can remember commenting my old '21 Skoda had a charge pad. That seemed to wound Anthony a little. It wasn't an aimed barb, more like a stray shot.
I am assured this thing will be fine with the cell on usb cable (ports everywhere).
