I received an email from Lotus today with the subject as per the title of this post. The content was as follows:
"Never change a winning formula.
Unless you can top it.
The fully revamped Lotus Emira range.
Ready to be revealed very soon - so stay tuned.
New and enhanced levels of performance and design.
Satisfying an even wider range of driver’s demands.
See it all, before the rest of the world."
Together with two buttons, one labelled "Join Us On WhatsApp", which I did, but doesn't (yet) tell you anything new, and the other labelled "Explore Lotus" which I expected would simply lead to the Emira page on the web site, but actually returned an error, although that has now been fixed, and now simply leads to the web site, and not even to the Emira page.
Has anyone got any insight or inside info (but please, keep off the idle speculation), on want Lotus are up to. Is it just Marketing doing what Marketing do, or perhaps the SE is due for a UK launch, and the enhanced levels of performance and design are just the 50bhp boost for the turbo engine, and a list of extras which were standard on the First Edition? Oh damn, that is speculation.
