New Dealership in Boise, Idaho

Just got the news today that Park Place which is in Bellevue, Washington, is opening a new dealership in Boise, Idaho! That's right in between Bellevue and Salt Lake City, which helps fill in the gap for service and support.

Fantastic - in your backyard.
Yep. I'm going to be there for the grand opening. I emailed the sales guy I bought my Emira from at Park Place in Bellevue, and he said he's pretty sure he'll be there. It will be nice to meet him. I ordered and bought my car from them all through phone and email. I never went there. Had the car delivered by covered carrier. Not having to drive to Salt Lake for service is going to be SO nice!

Is it weird to open a new dealership that isn't selling cars (since Lotus isn't shipping to the US)?

This was in the works for the last 2 years, long before there were any thoughts about possible tariffs. They're also a dealer for other brands. I expect something is going to be worked out with the U.K. though, hopefully soon.

No doubt. I was originally on the list with Vegas, but eventually faced the reality that I couldn’t deal with the logistics or time commitment of having to drive or truck it there (for service/warranty work) so dropped of the list, with a full deposit refund with no hassle from Vegas, and serendipitously discovered a few weeks later the new dealer in my backyard.

Hey fellow Boisean! I did the same, worked through David at Bellevue. Which Emira do you have? I think there are only three of us in town.

Out in Caldwell First Edition Magma red just attended cars and coffee majestic theater meridian on Saturday

Oh man, bummer I missed it. I joined Toybox in Boise on State St, cool place to meet others and work...for those that work from home. How did you find out about the C&C?

Lotus Bellevue is the second largest Lotus dealer in the U.S., so I'm sure the Boise location will be fully capable.
Do you know who the first is? I would guess Naples? Btw, being the biggest isn't always correlated with being the best. I can tell you several potential Emira owners have not had positive experiences with Naples.

Yeah I believe it's Naples. I had a great experience with the dealer in Salt Lake when I was there. Good people who were very pro-customer. Only problem was their labor rates were for the Lambos and Bentleys they had there, not friendly for Lotus owners.

I'm looking forward to seeing the facility at Idaho and seeing how they are for labor and service.

Funny you mention SLC. I have 4 words for anyone pursuing a car there, "Thousand Dollar Document Fee". That's right, $1k and that doesn't include other fees. So, don't let any "discount" fool you. I will say, they absolutely seemed like great people, car brand centric, well versed in Lotus, but then this came up. Frankly, it was a bit "bush league" given how well they presented from all other aspects. I didn't think anyone was still trying this and I certainly wouldn't expect a semi-informed buyer to ever tolerate this.

When I asked about it, the answer was essentially that it wasn’t out of the ordinary. Still annoyed me a bit (as did the $900 quote for an oil change). I echo the sentiment that the guys there are all A-plus, brand champions, and highly knowledgeable, terrific to work with, but this is an unnecessary rough edge that taints the experience just a tad and smacks just a bit of we charge because we can.
