New Lotus Flagship Store in London…( Coming Soon!) /s

Just waiting for the Lotus global marketing email with the "Electre" misspell in subject line now. Danny Baker used to refer to the youthful (clueless) gang working at BBC London as "the 19 Nineteen-year-olds"...

I haven't heard anything but I work about 5 minutes from the showroom on Piccadilly so when it opens I can be in there and armed with questions!!!
I emailed them (Customer Care) on Tuesday regarding the fact I'm being forced into making the V6 decision before the 11th August price rise.

Not that it's a problem - I'm V6 anyway - but I would have liked to have driven the i4 to compare, since my build date is not till next April.

Needless to say I've not had a reply - even though I've resent the email asking for a response...

Let us know when you're going and we can send you with a list.

You'll be there for days...

Well, seems they are less prone to ransomeware attacks. Also, customer information stored in hardcopy only, updates scribbled on the sides, manufacturing in order of hardcopy pile, someone tripping on contraband network cable (swiftly taken care of) to enhance gambling aspect of build order... all these cybersecurity precautions seem to explain the various aspects of the past 2 years... Makes sense if you view it this way.
You are painting an image of factory confusion and chaos in my mind...

I'm working in London on Monday so I'll take my ##FIRSTNAME## and ##LASTNAME## over there to have a look.
Is anyone else bothered by the fact computers are routinely asking us to prove we are human and not robots?
#ForTheFirstname&Lastname

Next time there is a VIP Lotus event I'm going to rock up and try and get in and just tell them that may name is on the guest list, and when they ask for the name I'll just reply "##FIRSTNAME## ##LASTNAME##".

Very good sir, in you come!

Good to see more Lotus centres opening though, hopefully more than the one single dealer in Scotland coming soon!

As luck would have it my wife and I were in London for business this weekend and we caught the grand opening of the Lotus Store in London this morning. The people staffing it were very friendly and invited us to check out the cars in detail, but most appeared to be pretty new hires and I knew more about the Emira than most of them. They joked that I should be the one working there. It was still fun to see the car up close again (appeared to be the same i4 that was at Goodwood), as well as to get a look at Eletre. I asked if they had any paint samples for new colors, since I am ordering Vivid Red sight unseen, but they don’t have any yet. They also don’t have any merch on hand yet. The real treat was getting up close and personal with a stunning Fittipaldi livery Evija. Might never get that chance again!

It's mental to think you could buy two Lamborghini Revuelto's for the price of that Evija.

No merch? For grand opening of a Flagship store? What is the purpose? Are they taking car orders, arranging factory tours and driving experiences? Lotus racing history display?
Was it 'Worth the wait?'

While your questions are 100% valid, honestly, at this point any signs of life from Lotus are a good thing in my view. :p

Having a showroom in that location is not about Merch, or factory visits, or the little people; nor even, I would suggest, the number of actual sales orders they take. It's about the image, the big picture, moving into a space that positions Lotus against the established luxury brands - that's what's going to drive the revenue stream - and I wish them all the best with this.
