New MR2 from Toyota v Lotus Emira.

Honestly, if they release an MR2 and it looks that cool, the Toyota dealerships are going to ruin it. I looked into getting a manual Supra for a little bit and they acted like it was a Koenigsegg or something.

That's before even considering getting the car serviced. I wouldn't want a Toyota service center anywhere near a car like this, so you may as well buy something a little more special IMO.

@Speedy Emira , as a potential customer I’m wondering are you suggesting that Toyota reliability and dealers are better than Lotus (the latter in the UK) or vice versa?
Now I have sold my Emira I don't want to come over as an Emira basher because I loved the car. Certainly in the UK Toyota has a very high reliability history and great dealer back up. If Lotus can't get the back up right in the UK for parts availability, customer support and build quality it is hard for me to think how they can compete with any main stream brand that brings out a car that looks as good. It pains me to write this as I was gutted to sell mine. In comparison the 6 year old AMG GTC I bought just flew through a major service and MOT, with only 1 issue in it's history of a single coil pack replacement. My RS3 was 6 years old when I sold it and only had an engine light come on once that was fixed in 30 mins and not a single other issue.
