Nimbus Grey Lotus Emira Photo Thread

Gorgeous car, @Bilbao-Emira. Am I the only one that wished they offered the diamond cut wheels with the full silver perimeter? I love the style of them but I have issues with the dark perimeter sections. It's been one of the areas in which I remain conflicted.

2 minute mockup of what I wish I could spec for the wheels. I guess these are very similar to the silver but slight angular differences:
I never really knew what it was about the diamond cut wheels that I didn’t quite like, but you nailed it. 💯

Someone please correct me if I’m wrong, but it’s the same wheel.

Black, silver, diamond cut, all different finishes on the same wheel.

Here’s @Citizen ’s photo, and your mock.

The big difference between those two is the dark interior of the diamond cut wheels (which I love) but I don't like the gaps on the perimeter. So for me, I have to go with the silver wheels but if I could choose, I'd do the diamond cut with the full silver perimeter like the mock up above. To me that is absolutely stunning.

EDIT: I guess you could always have those perimeter sections refinished to match which probably wouldn't be that big of a deal. Would be nice if we could spec it that way though :)

Not possible... diamond cutting involves the wheel to rotate. The silver part is essentially the paint lathed/shaved off during rotation. Those dark areas are recessed, lower... Only possible way would be to shave the existing areas further to make the outer lip and spokes to be flush, all one level without the current step. That would be some extensive work affecting the strength integrity of the wheel.

Thanks

I agree with you,
When I see the car in the pictures, I also wished for the outer ring, like the ones I have on the Evora. I think I got used to them like this, and when I see the car in the flesh the DC wheels look better to me than in the pictures. The finishing of the Diamond Cut is really nice, and they don't look so flowery in reality

For me I like the wheels just the way they are, I know all silver is very popular at the moment but just not for me.

BTW your latest pictures are some of the best i've seen yet. Awesome

Congrats on the spec and issue free experience. I was thinking magma or nimbus but all of these pictures of nimbus in the sun are pushing the scale heavily in that direction. Such a classy look.
Thanks! 🤞

I am really happy with the color selection. Only thing is the black roof gets dirty by looking at it. But when clean really works.

Magma is also stunning

Having lived with a 91 NSX (red with the black roof) I can certainly understand the challenge of keeping the roof clean and swirl mark free (impossible!) Your exterior spec is exactly what I’m leaning towards (nimbus/DC/yellow calipers) but with no black pack. I do appreciate the way a non-black pack car can unify the form of the design but I also love the canopy look of the black pack cars. I may have the roof wrapped in black to achieve the canopy look knowing that I can always remove it if/when it starts to look a little worse for wear. Best of both worlds. I still have yet to see real world photos of a nimbus/DC/yellow caliper car with no black pack. Keep the photos coming! Much appreciate living vicariously through you!

Collected my car today from Caffyn’s Sussex.

Thanks to Jon and the team for a great experience.

So lucky to have been offered a cancelled order for a similar spec. car. Right place, right time.

All happened swiftly and efficiently.

Shame the M4 Comp had to go after only 3m’s ownership but the Emira is some car!

Happy days ahead! 😎

Congrats. Does the car cover come with the purchase, or its just the Dealer reveal prop?
