Osmium Silver Lotus Emira photo thread

The silver is stunning…. I was torn between the silver, mist white and vivid red…. All such incredible colors!

Having a hard time deciding between nimbus and osmium. Does osmium have a distinctive blue hue in the sun?

Here's photo I took of my i4 at different angel last Saturday at the dealer I don't really see a blue tint. I like both color and I also have a tough time deciding which one to but settled for the Osmium as I think there's already quite a few Nimbus running around in my area.

I definitely notice the blue tint. Parked next to a white or standard silver car you clearly see the bluish cast. See my photos earlier in the thread. Of course ambient light, camera sensors, screens, etc. will impact how you see it in photos. I like Nimbus too (would have been my first choice of the originally offered colors) but I prefer the Osmium and have been very happy with it.

I'm picking mine up from the dealer tomorrow if they can figure out what's caused the yellow warning light that popped up on Saturday and I'll take a closer look and take more photos.

Osmium absolutely has a blueish tint to the color. It's an actual element in our periodic table.

Here is a definition of Osmium.
Osmium has a blue-gray tint and is the densest stable element, slightly denser than iridium

Hope that helps.

p.s. I have Osmium myself, and love the slight blue tint. I also dislike champagne colored cars. So Nimbus was a DEF no for me.

I saw my first osmium a few weekends ago and in person I didn't notice any blue. I think they look blue around Nimbus because nimbus is so warm. On their own they look like a very classic silver to me.
