Before my installer redoes the PPF on the rear quarter panels of my Emira, I wanted to ask if any of you have removed the intake vents to make the job more seamless.

Just wanted to know if that possible

No seam no cut no stretch whatsoever on mine, its all about the skill of the installer. I was only able to find one skilled installer in my area who can pull this off. Mine is a matte ppf so any blemish is highly visible.

So this is sitting on my dealers lot. To me (who has no idea of PPF), this doesnt look like a very good job when looking at the video in this thread or some of the posted pictures. What do you guys think?

It looks like the standard pre-cut PPF template. The installer looks to have done an OK job joining the lines of the template itself. Pros of having all these relief cuts is the film is less stretched and less likely to lift in high tension areas. Cons are the relief cuts creates edges that can catch dirt/debris and make the lines look more obvious, and will leave some parts of the paint fully exposed.

A better installer would edit the template to fit their abilities. I have less faith in clear PPF applied to a car with no relief cuts at all to hold up long-term; unless we start seeing owners post photos 6+ months afterwards to show otherwise.
