So.. I noticed that on the black pack parts (top and bottom) as well as the black strip on the back of the car above the license plate and the black rear vents on each side, they all get insanely filthy every time I drive the car more than 10 minutes..

I am just looking for something to wipe this down between drives that won't scratch the paint. I tried a dry towel softly and that didn't go well at all..

I was wondering what everyone else uses in between washes to get the dirt off of the car (specifically the parts mentioned above)..

Thanks for any help!

purchase a detailing spray or waterless wash and clean microfiber towels (remove the tags) and that’ll be suffice

I like the gtechniq quick detailer. cleans and adds a slick finish. Don't get the ceramic topper, that's a different product that tops off the ceramic coat. You don't want to do that unless the car is pristine. once in awhile I'll quick detail the entire car after a car wash for a super shine + added minor protection.

Listen your best bet is soap and water and do not dry with a towel! Air gun or air blower it is the only for sure way not to scatch

Agreed. I was given a little Makita blower when I bought my latest drop saw, and it does wonders to blow the droplets off before they can mineralise. Then a quick coat of Adam’s finishing spray and the surface keeps its hydrophobicity.

I have PPF on my car and use Adam’s CS3. Works great and with PPF I don’t really worry about scratching it.

Big fan of Adams products, particularly graphene coatings.
Gives my Nimbus paint and parts a durable wet look.
Dust disappears via a microfiber cloth.

I've tried every brand, shape and size of detail spray... Optimum No Rinse is now the only thing I use. Dilute it with water, put it in spray bottle or pump sprayer. I have a bottle in every car for bird bombs or gas fillup spray, etc.

I use this or Simple Green for the calipers... gets all the dried caked brake dust off.

Always best to properly wash unfortunately. If you have PPF in those areas, then I would not be as worried about using a detail spray between washes. The Griots Speed Shine, P&S Detailing Bead Maker or Obsessed Garage Drying Aid are all very good products. Using a Gtechniq ceramic coatings will help greatly on the paint as well as brake calipers. Blower also key & utilizing drying aid each wash. I run through extensive detailing process on all my vehicles (i.e., Decontamination, Iron Removal, Clay Bar, Polishing, PPF, Ceramic Coating) and then she is ready to hit the streets.

As far as wheels & calipers I use the P&S Detailing Brake Buster. Drying rotors also beneficial and I have used Hydes Rust stopper on the rotors which loosely helps eliminate some of the brake dust but it's NOT a cure all.

I bought big containers of P&S Bead Maker and Dream Maker, then mixed them together to get the internet-named “Clean Maker”. Frankly, the finish was just okay, and the way it collected dust was insane.

I was lucky enough to win some Adam’s Finishing spray, so gave that a go. To my eyes it gives a much better glossiness, without the dust attraction. Lesson learned.
