Rally and Meetups Photo Thread

Thought it would be cool to have a thread for meet up and future rally images. I'm assuming there will be a lot in the states one we get our cars.

The problem with club meets in the U.S. is the distances involved. You can literally drive for 2 full days and still be in Texas, and that's just one state. Unless you live in SoCal or Miami, the rest of us are probably going to be spread out pretty far, so any kind of meet-up is a multi-day deal.

Smoky Mountain Drives: Lotus Versus The Dragon

Each year a group of us in the Indy/Cincy area go once or twice to the Smokies and hit the great roads. We’ve been joining Smoky Mountain Drives, and they put on an outstanding event. The way they organize the drive will satisfy all levels of driver skill. In addition to the monthly drives they organize, they also are branching out into private rallies and marque-specific events.

Last year they had their first Lotus-specific rally. The 2024 event is in May and I’m keeping my fingers crossed that I’ll have the car in time to put a few miles on it. I’ve signed up in anticipation that I can go!

It would be fun to get some of the forum folks on the east side of the country to bring their Emiras for the event. It’ll be 3 days of awesome driving, plus the chance to meet some the people behind the user names!

I’m in! Guessing a large GA/TN/NC contingent will be interested.

I used to organize large Subaru owner events there, 7 years running back in the '00s. 150+ cars typically, HQ'd at Fontana Village. It's a great environment for a car event as long as very clear expectations are set for attendee behavior, both on and off the road.

The largest meet up of Lotus' every year is the LOG (Lotus Owners Gathering)
They hold it in various states and its always a great time. Check out the details at Lotusltd.com
This years is in Texas.

We do some west coast rallies and lots of track days.
Check out wideopenrallies.com -- the organizer is a local guy who puts together some epic drivers rallies.
Golden Gate Lotus Club puts together the West coast Lotus meet every couple years and also does drives, autocross and trackdays.
For track days we frequent Thunderhill and Spring Mtn.
If anyone is ever interested in tracking at Spring Mtn pm me and we can see about having you as a guest and getting you out on the track!
