I tried to search.. couldn't find anything.

I stopped for gas (I left the car on while pumping).. When I went to drive away there is now a RED exclamation mark with a triangle in the dash (not the yellow one that comes up when gas is low and other things).

Any thoughts on what this can be? I haven't seen or heard of this before.

The tire pressure is fine, there is gas in the car.

I turned it off and restarted, still there. I am going to let it sit overnight and start it in the morning, but any thoughts from anyone?

Thanks

You sure there’s no other symbols with it?

Just the red exclamation mark inside a triangle. Different than the yellow triangle that happens (when you need gas)

Thinking......the owner manual notes only a RED color for the general warning triangle and relates this warning to other faults which "could affect the safety or drivability..." of the car. Today added gas to my car when warning light for low fuel displayed, along with general warning triangle in AMBER-engine off when filling, triangle gone on restarting. Perhaps amber color because low fuel warning not a serious effect to safety of drivability?? And maybe shown in red in your experience because engine was running during fueling (Ryan, I recall your saying red warning gone on later restarts)?? Maybe ECU considers fueling with running engine a safety issue and popped up while engine still running?? I don't know, but should be easy to A and B on subsequent fueling from low fuel level; engine off then with engine on. Manual makes no note of this general warning showing amber for any condition, but clearly we both have seen it with the refuel icon......must be a reason?
The manual implies the entire triangle/exclamation point is red but you had only exclamation point........who knows what the heck is going on...................

It has since gone away after letting it sit overnight.

I do now have a check engine light on (this happens from time to time though).. Just bought an OBD2 scanner coming tomorrow to check the light and see if I can clear it.

My first thought was, why would you EVER leave the car running whilst filling it up.
Even the notices on garage forecourts say not to.
I would not be surprised if this was the cause
