Evening

In the last couple of days I’ve had the SRS service fault appear. This is accompanied by the airbag indicator lit up red and the red triangle / warning. I was hoping it would go away ok it’s own as some faults do, but sadly not.

I’ve had a search around and it doesn’t seem to be a particularly common fault, only appearing about 3 times on this forum.

Any idea what causes this specific issue? I’m guessing an electrical fault somewhere, but wondered if something could have been knocked etc if there are sensors somewhere?

I hadn’t driven the car for about a week when it first appeared so perhaps this was a contributing factor.

Nothing is thrown up on the cheap OBDII scanner I have, so not sure I can clear it myself to see if it comes back again but would welcome opinions.

Thanks

assuming you haven’t swapped out the seats, correct? The connectors that live under the seats are super difficult to disconnect so I would be very surprised if it was that. Regular obd2 readers can’t clear that code you need a lotus tool. This will likely be a dealer visit

Thanks for the response.

No, seats are stock. Just went out to have a look under the seats as I suddenly thought something could have come loose as they had been moved right back to clean the interior. All look very solidly in place. It was just this part that almost looked like it was missing something connecting into it but I guessing it’s as it should be as there want anything flapping around that looks to have fallen out of there.

Just looked a bit “odd” but then I have no idea what it is or what it’s for 🤪

Can they read the code? I couldn’t find anywhere in the app I use that it was logged but would be useful to see if there is something logged that gives more info on the nature of the issue.

I can’t remember what it’s for, but that’s normal. Mine is the same. Something to do with Eurospec.

Hi, I have had a problem with this the car has been with my dealer for 3 weeks, Lotus cocked up sending the parts, apparently the steering wheel airbag is faulty causing the problem. I am told the part should arrive Monday and hopefully I will get the car Tuesday, who is your dealer?

Lotus Silverstone.

I’ve already dropped them an email but since last night I’ve also had the below 2 issues:

Rain sensor fault
Loss of Internal lights (just the ones above your head). The green light that is usually illuminated to indicate it’s on auto also no longer shows

😩

That's a nuisance, my dealer is Hendy at Eastleigh, I cannot fault the service I receive from them, Lotus is the cork in getting fixes quickly.

Ok, the issue has now been sorted.

All the problems above stemmed from a blown fuse (fuse 82). This was caused by the wire in the sun visor somehow getting caught and causing a short.

That issue was fixed, new fuse popped in and all warning are now gone and I have interior lights!
