The 13 Emira Colors

Thanks everyone for such a great supportive forum!
I have learnt so much over the past few months so I wanted to finally give back a little.

I know everyone is really keen to know what 13 colors will be available after the First Edition! I know I was.

Well it looks like they included them within the public configurator setting files. It literally took 2 minutes to find in a web browser for those that are tech literate.

Here goes:

First Edition - 6 colors:

Color Name	Paint Type
Seneca Blue	Metallic
Magma Red	Metallic
Shadow Grey	Metallic
Nimbus Grey	Metallic
Dark Verdent	Metallic
Hethel Yellow	Solid

Interestingly the additional colors are marked as V6 FE colors, but that can't be as we would have been told that they are available by now.

Base Edition additional 7 colors:

Color Name	Paint Type
Meridian Blue	Metallic	New color?
Atlantis Blue	Pearlescent	Existing Lotus color Basically the blue version of Dark Verdent
Cosmos Black	Metallic	Should be a nice deep black with silver speckle?
Osmium Silver	Metallic	This could be a silvery aqua blue! Real Osmium Metal
Vivid Red	Solid	Bright red seen at Hethel?
Zinc Grey	Solid	The gray Emiras recently seen at Hethel? Probably like nardo gray or a little bit like crayon? I call it undercoat gray.
Aspen White	Pearlescent	Existing Lotus color

Also for the interior, looking at the settings file it seems that there will be a black leather with yellow stripe and black leather with red stripe option. I think you can see the yellow stripe on black leather on a head rest in the configurator videos if you look very closely.

I bet this puts a rabbit in the hat for some of us! However the FE colors are really beautiful so you can't go wrong.

Vivid Red is also a solid colour.

There was a vivid red i4 on the track when I collected mine. It looks good but mines been called a ferrari and its grey, god knows what vivid red will get!

Email from Lotus to UK deposit holders says new colours available for cars built from Aug 2023, so it will depend on your deposit date and build slot.

My understanding is that those with FE 1.0 (and locked in price) are locked into the original 6-colors. The additional colors are available to FE2.0 (and future base) deliveries, but with the new price.

I am pretty sure I'll stick with Seneca but the Atlantis blue looks nice and want to see a sample in person. Disappointed in the colors overall as they seem close to what was already there.
I did notice they charge for the full black pack now. Didnt seem like that was a cost option before.

Yes its always Been cost option for full black pack, I paid £1250 I think

With the exception of Vivid Red, these new colors are surprisingly tame. They could have used a not-so-dark verdant, a nice, clean white, and a rich butterscotch orange...

Everyone is on here complaining about not having enough variety, and I am just happy that I got a darker/medium blue option! What I wanted from the start! Atlantis gang, rise up!

Yeah. See if this analogy makes sense. It's more Mercedes white than BMW white.

I saw Zinc Grey at the factory. It’s like Audi Nardo Grey. It looks nice but I wonder if that “primer” look has passed now?

I worded that badly I meant yes I like Nardo Grey but I don’t think this colour suited the Emira when I saw it too much like bland primer and yes I agree that phase was years ago

I'm a June build with higher price which puts me in FE2 but then it's before the August or later build date posted previously as a requirement for the new colours. I guess I'm stuck with the original choice unless I'm prepared to put my build back three months, which I'm not having waited for nearly two years.

Totally not upset I didn't have these options.

What the hell has happened to lotus, 6 different grey/black/whites and no additional fun colors other than Vivid Red.

Agreed. They are all pretty dull. I can’t understand their choices - also a number of the initial colours should look way better than they do. Think someone might be colour blind or following an odd fashion. Mostly dull saloon car colours - fine for your Audi, BMW or Merc

The way I read the email is cars after august. So can’t see why I can’t change my FE i4 colour to one of the new. Doubt they will stick to my August build Sept delivery anyway. Think I may go white

Although a couple are classy safe options, all a bit yawn-tastic really. I would happily pay a bit more to get Venom Green (as seen on Evija) or Toxic Green, or Scandal Green, or Krypton Green, or Isotope Green. Which they will no doubt allow later in the year, when it is too late. Why must you play these games, Lotus!?! :shake-fist:

I’d still pick Nimbus, although Vivid Red will be nice.

Still considering a skittle wrap though. So strange these colors are so tame. There must be hotter colors coming and they’re saving them to drive interest later.

Is venom green what they call that pearly isotope-ish color? It’s gorgeous. I’d choose this over almost anything else.
