The 13 Emira Colors

Thanks everyone for such a great supportive forum!
I have learnt so much over the past few months so I wanted to finally give back a little.

I know everyone is really keen to know what 13 colors will be available after the First Edition! I know I was.

Well it looks like they included them within the public configurator setting files. It literally took 2 minutes to find in a web browser for those that are tech literate.

Here goes:

First Edition - 6 colors:

Color Name	Paint Type
Seneca Blue	Metallic
Magma Red	Metallic
Shadow Grey	Metallic
Nimbus Grey	Metallic
Dark Verdent	Metallic
Hethel Yellow	Solid

Interestingly the additional colors are marked as V6 FE colors, but that can't be as we would have been told that they are available by now.

Base Edition additional 7 colors:

Color Name	Paint Type
Meridian Blue	Metallic	New color?
Atlantis Blue	Pearlescent	Existing Lotus color Basically the blue version of Dark Verdent
Cosmos Black	Metallic	Should be a nice deep black with silver speckle?
Osmium Silver	Metallic	This could be a silvery aqua blue! Real Osmium Metal
Vivid Red	Solid	Bright red seen at Hethel?
Zinc Grey	Solid	The gray Emiras recently seen at Hethel? Probably like nardo gray or a little bit like crayon? I call it undercoat gray.
Aspen White	Pearlescent	Existing Lotus color

Also for the interior, looking at the settings file it seems that there will be a black leather with yellow stripe and black leather with red stripe option. I think you can see the yellow stripe on black leather on a head rest in the configurator videos if you look very closely.

I bet this puts a rabbit in the hat for some of us! However the FE colors are really beautiful so you can't go wrong.

Don't think I could ever buy a silver car, it isn't 'safe', it is just 'boring'... In a 90's Ford Repmobile type of way

It’s called Base Edition on the Lotus website. I think the email refers to time of first Base/non-FE UK builds.

In that case why not just be consistent in the latest email about the colours? Looks like they’ve dropped it from the one place it may have been before now too…..

I used to think the same like 5 years ago. Totally changed my mind. A strong silver is great, especially on a car that is already very present and eye catching. for me, this car doesnt need a flashy colour

Oh yes, I didn’t spot that change. Perhaps “Base Emira” sounds cheap and it isn’t, so now it’s just “Emira”.

My understanding is that those with FE 1.0 (and locked in price) are locked into the original 6-colors. The additional colors are available to FE2.0 (and future base) deliveries, but with the new price.

I'm a June build with higher price which puts me in FE2 but then it's before the August or later build date posted previously as a requirement for the new colours. I guess I'm stuck with the original choice unless I'm prepared to put my build back three months, which I'm not having waited for nearly two years.

LotusB is in the US and FlashingBlade is in the UK, so different cutoffs and criteria will apply about when you can get the extra colours. In the UK it’s date driven - cars built Aug onwards. In the US it’ll be batch driven, so FE 2 onwards.

I’m a November 2023 i4 build , so I’m I right in saying my FE can now be one of the new colours ? As in FE is no longer just the 6 original ones?
Where are chrome orange and Aspen white

Think the new silver is great , I’ve seen nimbus many times now and I keep seeing a champagne ting to it .
I’m going silver now .

Agree. I think Osmium will end up being really popular. I’m just a little worried that it might have a bit of purple hue in it.

Well, if it's the same as Volvo Osmium - and it might be given they are a Geely brethren - the color might look like this:

Might consider Vivid instead of DV. Would just do a Ferrari setup with yellow calipers. Ice grey interior.

Osmium Silver looks lethal. The way it matches the silver wheels is .

Osmium is another one where it would be nice if you could just specify your rear LOTUS badging to be black, without having to get the black roof. (yes I know you can do this after-the-fact, but it would be nice if they could just build it to spec)

Splinter Orange, Jupiter Purple and Atmospheric Green. Now those sound like some interesting colors choices.

Won't help me with my FE 1.0, but something to potentially get excited about for future buyers.
