The 13 Emira Colors

Thanks everyone for such a great supportive forum!
I have learnt so much over the past few months so I wanted to finally give back a little.

I know everyone is really keen to know what 13 colors will be available after the First Edition! I know I was.

Well it looks like they included them within the public configurator setting files. It literally took 2 minutes to find in a web browser for those that are tech literate.

Here goes:

First Edition - 6 colors:
Color NamePaint Type
Seneca BlueMetallic
Magma RedMetallic
Shadow GreyMetallic
Nimbus GreyMetallic
Dark VerdentMetallic
Hethel YellowSolid

Interestingly the additional colors are marked as V6 FE colors, but that can't be as we would have been told that they are available by now.

Base Edition additional 7 colors:
Color NamePaint Type
Meridian BlueMetallicNew color?
Atlantis BluePearlescentExisting Lotus color
atlantis-blue.pngatlantis-blue-emira.png
Basically the blue version of Dark Verdent
Cosmos BlackMetallicShould be a nice deep black with silver speckle?
Osmium SilverMetallicThis could be a silvery aqua blue!

Real Osmium Metal
Vivid RedSolidBright red seen at Hethel?

Zinc GreySolidThe gray Emiras recently seen at Hethel? Probably like nardo gray or a little bit like crayon? I call it undercoat gray. :ROFLMAO:

Aspen WhitePearlescentExisting Lotus color

Also for the interior, looking at the settings file it seems that there will be a black leather with yellow stripe and black leather with red stripe option. I think you can see the yellow stripe on black leather on a head rest in the configurator videos if you look very closely. 😀

I bet this puts a rabbit in the hat for some of us! However the FE colors are really beautiful so you can't go wrong.

Happy Emira driving!

They're called First Editions and yes they are the first released cars. There will be several hundreds of them rather than a "limited edition". They are fully loaded with a package of options at a decent discount. I'm curious what else you would want to be special about them?
I want the paint & livery options like the Evija has for my FE!

Although… our FEs don’t have all the kit — we know many of the driver aids will be missing. Secretly I’m hoping that Lotus drops the current FE colours once the run is finished, to give us a bit more exclusivity. But that doesn’t leave a lot of colours to choose from for the base model…
The only known gap is ADAS. But that will only be on the i4 FE. It's not confirmed yet as a cost option for the i4 Base and probably won't be on the V6 Base.

Sorry @TomE — what do you mean “only on the i4 FE”? I thought the V6 FE also misses out on features like blind spot monitoring, lane detection, etc? Those extras certainly aren’t listed on the Australian spec.

Is it bad that I so hope these colors are wrong? I was certainly excited to see the additional colors, and I have to say these do not excite me. I also was hoping for a good lighter green like the olive green that came on a few evoras or atleast exige/metallic orange.

He means only the i4 FE will have ADAS and all the other bits you mention. It is not on the V6 FE and was never intended to be on the V6 models, and we don't yet know if it will be on the i4 BASE.

The limited colors is my biggest frustration. It'd be just another slap in the face if Lotus releases additional colors just for the i4 FE. Most V6 buyers are looking past the dated AND detuned powertrain, limited colors, and lack of customization simply to have a manual transmission. Lotus spoke of having one of the most advanced paint systems on the planet in the new Hethel facility, yet here we are with 6 colors... and they aren't even limited to the First Editions! AND now we know there is a white one going to the press...

I was looking at Astons the other night and the customization and paint options blew me away! Check out the configurator for the Vantage.

it is detuned as it is mid engine . cooling source is far from the heat source. people living in arizona would have melted cars if it was like 500 hp probably

I was referring to the detuned v6. The same set up was 416hp and 430hp in the Evoras.

yes good point. some people are wanting 480-500. 430 would be good bragging rights. no one would utilize it but still cool for an autobahn single video

The discount is about £3k on a V6 FE.

We don't know yet if the FE colours will be available on Base. Nor do Lotus yet and they are reviewing whether to drop them after the FEs.

In effect you've got a special wheel, interior, seat, audio, drivers pack and HCI etc because you've got all the options included. But yes, you will probably be able to add most of them as cost options on the Base. But a raw Base won't have any of these - it'll have alloy wheels, cloth seats, basic audio, no drivers pack.
How do you know its a 3k discount? Are there prices for the options available somewhere? It would be interesting to see. I'm sure I would stick enough on it to get it close enough to my 78k FE that I'd be best off with a FE. I don't prefer any other colours anyway.

i have a 2021 evora color chart next to me essex blue is the darkest so thinking thats not even close tom said it was a really dark blue

I'm guessing Cosmic Black is like the old Starlight Black - saw one in that colour in the production hall.

Definitely saw what looks to be Vivid Red and Zinc Grey, both solid colours.

Aspen White was on the car likely to be used for the first press review by Top Gear.

The blues we saw are probably the two blue ones.

Osmium Silver is probably the one Andrew and Greg saw that wasn't Nimbus. I saw one in the old Arctic Silver, which was labelled as AS but could be this new one.

The list also tallies with previous rumours about the +7 being black, white, red, two greys, two blues.
@TomE can you please describe what the two blues looked like to you?

I guess the dark one is Atlantis Blue given it’s an existing Lotus colour. Would it be fair to say it’s a bit black looking until close up like Dark Verdent?

I’m very very curious as to what the other blue looked like!

This makes absolutely no sense.
So...
FE V6- No ADAS
I4 FE- YES ADAS
V6 BASE- No ADAS
I4 Base - No ADAS

Why were they even advertising the ADAS if this is true?

We / you don't know yet if i4 Base will have it or not, that information has not been released. Personally suspect it will be some of the features will be options rather than included.

One of the senior Lotus sales people told me. It has also been told to other people at the UK roadshows.

Obviously we won’t have hard evidence of it until they publish the Base + options prices in March.

I didn’t pay much attention to the detail of the non-FE colours, as we were told they were either old Elise/Evora paints being used up or non-prod paints being trialled. Some cars were labelled, for example “Arctic Silver”, and some weren’t like the solid red.

We’d been told earlier that all the Emira colours were new to Lotus and not used by another manufacturer.
