The definitive Hawk Brake Pad guide, with Low dust option

Where did you find them at that price?
sorry for delay, have been out for a bit. I buy from distrib that I have a wholesale business account with.

I’ll be able to compare the hawk ceramics with the ebc reds soon.
Kitkat any word on the ebc brakes? Looking at the Hawk due to the extreme dust from oem. The ebc would be a more economical choice, but I still want the low dust.
Really appreciate you journal and 3D print files. thank you

I'll be comparing the Hawks to the EBC this weekend

Installation on the Hawks was straightforward, bedding was achieved very quickly. Cooldown and then subsequent performance test puts them about even with the EBC red. Pedal feel is pretty much the same as EBC red as well. Won’t be able to report back on dust until later but I didn’t see much dust after 2 drives. The only noises I’ve heard so far were during bedding and going into reverse as the pads up front made a clunk, not a big deal there. I’ll note my fronts came with no backing plates and my rears did for whatever that’s worth. The pad fitment in the rear is better than the EBC Red and shouldn’t cause a lip overhang.

Looking like a good overall street pick.

Are the hawk pads worth the $150-$200 premium over the EBC pads?
Buying directly from Hawk I’m looking at $500 but the EBC from GRP run about $300

Thank you for the review and feedback. Very helpful for everyone in the market between these 2.

The EBC Red were always a little noisy but otherwise performed fine, I think maybe the backing plate being slightly off and the pad material being 2mm off may have contributed to that noise in the rear. Maybe EBC should be taking this as feedback.

Has anyone told EBC this ?

I'm not planning on tracking this car so I will probably go with the Hawk and pay the premium. Worth the peace of mind to get less noise and correct fitment.

I did contact EBC USA with measurements and photos. They were responsive with their own validation of my measurements and what I received. I also submitted the pictures of two other Emira owners with the similar issue. A vendor commented, separately, that this has been the case on the Evora but that it's not caused any mechanical issues; this vendor also runs the Reds on their cars (I saw it on one of their cars in person).

EBC USA acknowledged the information and said they would send all the photos and relevant emails to EBC UK. It's been about a month now, I haven't heard anything back; they didn't tell me I'd hear anything back.

Myself and a few others locally have the EBC Blue pads on our cars now and we will all have some actual track time on our cars coming up soon. Will see what happens. I've ordered the Hawk pads to run on the street in the future; I have my doubts about the EBC Blues being an OK pad to use on track and unfortunately some of these experiences are reinforcing older stories of EBC when I owned other brands of cars too...kinda get what you pay for.

Ordered on the 28th arrived on the 3rd. It actually shipped from OH. First time ordering from them so YMMV. Best deal I've seen so far though is from Fidanza for $296 + shipping with code summer24
