Aston Martin Lennox Green... this is what Dark Verdant should have been. The Emira would look absolutely stunning in this color.

I have dark verdant green and I'm here to say.....

You are not wrong😒

On a bright sunny day, the color is just awesome. Other lighting is somewhat problematic. Evening and cloudy days the car might as well be black.
The lines of the car are lost in a dark low contrast color and that is a shame.
Turn up the jade and add some more pearl or metal flake and the color could have been the best.

I still love my car, but I do think it could have been better

With this picture lighting is also key. Would love to see the in a dark room or in sunlight

I took this picture of my verdant green to sell the scooter in the foreground. This is one of my favorite pictures of my Emira. Love how the green appears to fade to black in the back. The verdant green highlighted just right. I believe some of the original Evija had a similar paint scheme.

In the right light, DV does look good, but it has a lot of blue in it. Lennox Green has more yellow which gives it a warmer color.

Having seen all the FE1 colors in person, and still ordered DV myself. It can look black and hides the lines of the design in certain light, but absolutely stunning in others. The other option was nimbus, which to me in low light looked a very nice deep silver and showed the lines off amazingly, however in sunlight it looks very champagne / pinkish bronze. I did not like that aspect it at all. So If I had to live with one or the other, DV was the winner for me. In truth all colours have their plus and minuses.

I can see where everyone is coming from, and I was worried about DV based on all the commentary. But when I saw it in person (on an overcast day, no less), I was thrilled. It's exactly what I'm looking for, and appears to have been perfectly matched to the tan interior.

As a combination, it's almost identical to Verde Zeltweg on Cuoio, which can only be a good thing in my view.

If you're into more vibrant or saturated hues, I can see why you'd be disappointed.

I truly love your choice of wheels! I'm very tempted to chase down a set.
They were my design and spec, and I got them from @Aerie. They're based on an Italian wheel I saw, and they actually look much nicer in person than pictures show. It's a very premium-looking wheel compared to the factory wheels.

When I first put down my deposit July 11, 2021, we didn't have any idea of what the real colors would look like. The original configurator was rubbish as you Brits would say. Dark Verdant didn't look anything at all like it turned out to be. The original configurator had much more green in it.

Here's a screenshot I took on July 13, 2021 of the configurator Lotus had when I placed my deposit for DV.

A few months later we saw the first color samples that showed up at the dealerships, and that started the 'what are the actual colors going to look like' game we all began to play. The configurator colors did not match the color samples.

But then the color samples began to change when the planforms showed up. (That's DV on the far left).

I got frustrated and bought a 3D model online, and began doing 3D renders of what I thought the cars might actually look like, based on the color samples.

I spent the fall and winter of 2021 doing renders for forum members who wanted to see what their color choices might look like, which kept us entertained for awhile while waiting for photos of actual cars from Lotus. In the following year they finally upgraded their configurator to be much more realistic in how the cars would look. They kept promising photos of actual cars in the actual colors, but never did publish any of DV, Magma or Nimbus. All we saw was the original Shadow Gray the running prototype car had (the one they showed at the debut), and Seneca Blue which was on the studio model at the debut. The excuse was "the cars were too difficult to accurately capture the colors" for the colors we were missing, DV, Magma and Nimbus.

The base model was originally advertised as being £59k, and now it's almost double that. For those of us that survived it all, and made it through to actually get our cars, it's been an interesting journey.

Man, you really put the work in. You are correct. The configurer is rubbish. Did they not even test or compare the paint before updating the configuration site?
Just a bit more green or blue would have been perfect. Still happy with my choice.
Most picks of the nimbus gray look more champagne than silver. (I happen to like the champagne look) but in person I see much more silver. Color is all about lighting and it is easy to trick the eye

Absolutely stunning. If that was the green that was offered, EVERY Emira would have been ordered in that color.

I had a conversation with my 10 year old daughter just this morning about how SHE would have gotten an Emira in a lighter green!

Dark verdant looks stunning in direct light, I just hate how it hides the lines on overcast days.

Your wheels are among the very very few that I think improve on the factory design. Looks great!

Agree this Emira color was a disappointment in an initial pallet of colors that could have been better. My dad and I test drove a DV MT and HY Auto back-to-back one day. As we were driving home, someone else was ahead of us in the DV and it was the first time that it registered the car wasn't Black. I turned to my dad and said "Look, there's one of the Emira's we drove...what color would you say that is?" His answer "Black". :)

I test drove Verdant Green and was close to ordering that color..The day I tested was sunny and it was green.
I returned on a Sunday to look at Emira's and pulled up and on Emira was down by street and it was cloudy
and I swear it was black.. I took walk to look at others and when I returned I could not believe was a hint of Green
in that car..So that cured me of wanting that green..
