Top Gear twin test

Thanks for the post. The whole expectation of wanting more out of the I4 is a little exasperating in comparing it to the V6 or vs an A class Merc. Harry, Matt and all the rest love the V6. I get it. So What? The car is sweet to look at, designed by handling masters and like the Esprit of the 80's something I can't wait to get my hands on. Rant over.

From the article, "...the Lotus has grip and composure but lacks steering feedback and delicacy..." Uh wut? That doesn't seem right...

This review is spot on and highlights very well what most of us expected of i4...an angry 4 cilinder supercharged beast...capable to be tuned to very high hp.

Instead it is super boring, not alive. It went numb because of cooling issues and climate requirements...

Not the best job by Lotus. Bring in the tuners and lowered suspension...and it will be mental! They can fix it!

They must be high -- like -- compared to an A45S?
Steering feedback is the highlight of lotus. And the i4 reviews (including Harry) said that it was a little lighter, but still had plenty of feedback.

Olly is a right twit.. is he really saying the A45s has better handling and steering feel than the Emira? ... Top Gear lost its soul many years ago.. the video that goes with this article is so bad.. Unless Chris Harris in behind the article/video I don't even bother.

I think a copy editor reversed the cars. Contextually it seems like he is referring to the Merc, not the Lotus.
