USA/Canada Delivery Thread

Have you taken delivery from Gator?

I just did a search on Gator in this thread and was surprised how few deliveries from this dealer have been posted here. I even created a separate thread specifically to connect with others who got their Emiras from Gator or are still waiting like me. I'm surprised by how few reports of Gator deliveries I'm seeing.
Remember that a lot of buyers are not on the forum.

There have been very few deliveries nationwide, in the big scheme of things. It's only been a few weeks of active delivery anywhere, and it takes a lot of time to do that process per-car when most dealers only have a single salesperson dedicated to Lotus customers. It's an unfortunate side effect of being a low volume marque. Unlike a Mazda or BMW dealer, they can't just hand a second car and customer off to someone else for a parallel delivery. So the bandwidth is narrow.
I've heard of two dealers having delivered around 20 Emira each now. The common denominator I'm seeing is that these are part of larger automotive groups, so perhaps they were able to allocate additional resources to delivery and they were able to take delivery from Lotus NA of all the Emiras that had arrived.

V6 automatic are supposed to begin arriving this summer. Has anyone confirmed their spec for an automatic?
July ‘21 deposit, August ‘23 submitted spec. Dealer reconfirmed spec in early April ‘24 and was told a build would happen in early July for a Sept/Oct delivery

I think that's probably correct. I suspect those two dealers are the outliers, as well. Most dealers have probably delivered between 5 and 15 cars by now, depending on which state they are in and what kind of resources they have available.

And total number of allocations and deliveries the dealer got, Naples has delivered quite a few but they had ~100 cars on the lot as they're the largest volume Lotus dealer in the world

Make them sign a letter saying if they drill the bumper they owe you $5k to get their attention.

This is the way.
just got mine. Now to get a car to attach it to...

To my surprise, I saw my first Emira in the wild. A yellow one parked in Morristown, New Jersey. Looked good!
Would I buy one myself? Well, not my cup of tea, but watching this thing evolve has certainly been entertaining. I hope everyone gets their rides soon.

Really? Including the bigger dealers in FL and TX? I thought Naples would be all done with their deliveries by now.

None, unfortunately... I was just thinking to myself how few Canadian cars have arrived... Didn't Canada get 200 cars out of the initial 700 for North America?
we get 10% of USA allocations. This goes for pretty much all brands including Porsche, Ford, BMW etc. - So 200 is probably total for the first editions... 70 was originally allocated as V1's.

Yup @Nova my understanding was 60-70 FE1s (this included Auto & i4 so probably less than 50 FE1 manual V6), I haven’t heard of anyone getting one who made a deposit on or before the date of Goodwood. On the bright side for us, FE 2 is more like FE 1.5 as far as price, when you do the F/X vs. European and US pricing they cost more like 1.5…we then pay more tax making our overall cost probably higher than the US but I’m not including that.

I think Canadian dealers did get a lot more of the FE2s though. My dealer is the largest or tied for largest in Canada and only got 12-13 FE1s (of which 2-3 were dealer cars). When they got FE2 allocations I think it was 6 build slots per month and I think it was 4-5 months worth of slots. Not sure if anyone can confirm this…I saw the sheets that were 6 a month so I know I’m write on that. It was something like Dec-Jan-Feb-March-April (Lotus may have then done 1 final allocation for some point for late summer/fall cars), and now they are done with FE.
