V6 auto gear box

it has been nearly 3 weeks since the email from CS promising to be in touch in 2 weeks re build/delivery/next stage in the process.
As there has been no such contact I emailed Friday for an update. Anyone else had that email over two weeks ago and got the same 'Fanny Adams'????

I was out of the UK for 10 days, so called them on Friday for an update, in case I missed a call. . I was advised my car was still on for April delivery. I asked when would the check out email be sent and was told it is triggered when the car is 80% through production, which seemed odd. Are they really building cars prior to people committing ?

I asked when I should expect the check out email then, and was told it should come next week

also one would expect an opportunity to test drive an automatic car before making a final commitment
I don't see that happening chap.
Thankfully 🤔 I specced and locked mine before I found this forum
It would be nice to have a test drive but if its like the Evora i'm sure it will be mega. I have reservations about the rev limit and the exhaust sound but in time those can be resolved after market im sure.

@Toomanyloti. We know there were a load of Auto cars produced in February, hopefully a few of them were produced right hand drive spec for UK test drives.

When I do get the checkout email, I will be contacting certain individuals to see if a test drive can be arranged

I do have a gut feeling that the extra 10 NM of torque that was advertised for the Auto car will not be provided. Let’s just hope it’s still at 420NM at least

Really odd that they seem to finally be pushing them out door and no journalist has even touch one not even a Lotus video, not sure if that’s concerning or not, speaking to Lotus people they say it’s really good but then they would do, let’s wait and see I guess.

Has anyone seen any updated performance specifications for the V6 auto now that auto deliveries have commenced in Europe? Assume that Type Approved in Europe, so you would expect that there are the usual BHP, emission nos. etc, officially available.

@JohnHoward given that we know Javier’s car arrived in Bilbao, I checked the Spanish lotus site, it’s still showing single HP and Torque numbers

Whereas previously there were two sets of numbers displayed on the UK site for each gearbox type.

There may not be a great interest in the V6 auto from the journalists if the auto variant only accounts for 10-15% of V6 sales, I think they will be waiting for the AMG. I think the 2 big stories were the shape/design of the car and the partnership with AMG. The V6 auto is perhaps just a curiosity. Getting excited for mine now. Sold the Alpine last week and there is a V6 auto FE Emira shaped space on my drive!

Interesting. I'm not sure how the equivalent of our road tax (or whatever it is called) is calculated in Europe, I would expect there is an emissions element in the equation, perhaps Javier may be able to tell us once he has his paperwork.

Just saw the posts, I will ask tomorrow, but I suspect the CoC hasn't arrived from Lotus yet, as happened with the manual version.
Will let you know.

About taxation, every country in Europe is different, in Spain you pay for the v6 Auto:
MSRP + 21% VAT
+ 14.75 % Emissions tax over MSRP, which is the maximum in this case, since CO2 is higher than 200 g/km., same case for the V6 Manual
+ 950 Euros for final delivery from the dealer.

Sorry my bad, not over MSRP, over the official factory price invoiced to the dealer
