What did you do to your Emira today?

Getting my Aerie rims ceramic coated. Ti Stud kit is ready and waiting for the new light wheels (1/2” wider than standard, with aggressive offset). No more spacers, so less unsprung weight.

Because for some weird reason, Lotus won't let you option a TDC on a manual
What did you use? I was thinking of trying a strip of vinyl wrap, thought here is that it would be more robust than yellow electrician tape, or something along those lines..

Found out today that the rear OEM wheels on the Emira Turbo are ET64 not ET54 as stated everywhere (including the suppliers website/product listing @Aerie ). So the rear wheels stick out 10mm more than they should have and basically look ridiculous.

Found this out after the tyres, new TPMS and ceramic coating was done. Great:poop:

We have received a message regarding the differing ET (offset) on the Emira 2.0. We are actively working on a solution with the detail .

As a responsible seller, we are happy to provide a new offset replacement forged wheels that will fit your cars. Please don't worry about this and appreciate it for your support , we will solve the issue as soon as possible .

That’s good to hear (y)

Could be a lot worse. The wheels aren’t in Europe or USA and are totally fine for a V6 Emira. Changing the colour in the factory is a minor cost, so worst case it’s a small rework on 2 wheels. Far from the end of the world as a seller.

Better to find out sooner than later:unsure:😉

What did you end up using? the leather tape, vinyl, or something else?
I actually had it painted. I didn't do that part myself. I had a guy come with a spray gun (taped everything off nicely, no overspray) and did the top steering wheel and then starter button gate (or whatever you call it).

Oh, right I remember now - remember your posts with the Start switch cover.

Those are beautiful. Love that color. Looking for something just like that for my Dark Verdant green. Post picks when mounted please
