What did you do to your Emira today?

View attachment 60389

Today I broke down at a stop light. Lots of metal clunky sounds from the transmission area. The car shifter can shift but car doesn’t engage any of the gears including reverse. So if I put it in 1st, and slowly pull out the clutch the car won’t move.

We had to push the car to the position it’s in now.

Hopefully this isn’t a bad repair. And is covered by the warranty
Man, that really sucks. At this point, you deserve a new thread entirely dedicated to you, entitled something like "What the f#~!&#ck did the Emira do to @Six Speed Stephen today?".

"You can't park there, sir"

Sucks to hear, but hopefully you're well taken care of by your dealer 🤞

Gave the Emira a wash and then installed the puddle lights I got from Taobao. Looks awesome. Such a good mod for $30

Note: I intially installed these lights with the text facing the opposite direction (because it only fits one way) which looked funny so I had to pull the harness tightly (the harness has virtually no slack) so I can get more slack and rotate the connector.
May I ask how you got the factory puddle lights out? Do you have to remove door panel or simply just pry out the existing lights? If the latter, which side of the light you pry out first? (Front towards the head of car or back?). Thanks

You just have to pry it out with a panel remover tool or a screwdriver. I’m memory serves me right. I started from the front as the back of the light has the connection. But it doesn’t really matter which side you take off first

Thanks. Was able to do this. Have the same light you install but is your new one kind of loose? Mine doesn't slot in perfectly. Is yours loose and/or did you have to do something to fix it?

No, mine wasn’t loose it fit nicely but I heard other forum members get loose ones. I think I remember them saying the crumbled up something around the trim so it fit more tightly.

Met up with another i4 owner yesterday after another drive down to Santa Cruz (trying to get through break in ASAP) but then I went up Hwy 1 to Pacifica for the meet. Nice to get a chance to drive an i4 with sport suspension and cup 2.
