The gear knob felt cheap. The dog leg gearbox is a nightmare, I went from 3rd to 7th so many times accidentally. It was an involving gear box but didn’t feel,smooth.
What I did notice on the manual car was that it was crabbing on full lock,,though the auto didn’t. The clutch was heavy and bite was right at the top of the travel. It was a pleasure getting back into the auto vantage and just trying to avoid the back end stepping out.
The merc infotainment is iffy though as is all the bloody buttons. It didn’t feel a 150k car but felt much better at 90k

Car makers seriously need to rethink their car tech!
I think the Aston is a bit GT for me but may try and get a drive for comparative reasons

It is a GT with thunder coming out of the exhaust. It sounds like the car the devil would drive. They had a lovely vantage v12 in, a snip at 350k, and it was sold.
You must take one out.

The AM Vantage & DBS is a luxury sporting coupe. I do not believe a manual transmission fits its personality.

I loved the old vantage manual… it was somewhat ponderous, but purposeful and engaging

It is a valid question. There are some people on the forum that ramble on about anything except Lotus. The best cure is to just block them. Trust me you are not missing anything.
