Sun shade options?

While we thought it fit ok some have not been totally happy with the overall edge to edge fitment
We just created a new template for covercraft and shipped it out today so we should have a Emira specific made UVS shade coming soon. I will post pictures of the fitment from inside the car around the edges when it arrives.

I usually use twist and fold but I’m curious about the thicker style with lotus branding only because the cabin has plenty of room to store behind the seat. Always use a sunscreen folks. My interiors look mint after many years.

We just got one of the your sun shades for Evora/ Emira for our Emira and I’m not too impressed with the fit, would like to send or back and exchange for one specifically for the emira

For those looking for a sun shade, I tried the GRP Evora one. Would agree that it's too short. However, I had a covercraft folding one lying around for a Ferrari 599 and it's almost a direct fit (about 1/2 too wide, but the height and windshield shape are spot on). I'll be using that from now on.

I found one that fits the Emira perfectly, it’s mylar on the front with a waffle pattern, has insulation and is light but a rigid folding style. It’s made by snap shades from Australia. It’s about $90 with shipping, pricey, but I couldn’t find any other exact fits.

I just received my Snap Shade from Australia. A very nice product and includes a bag with a draw string for storage. I highly recommend. It also made it to me in the US very quickly

I’ll add my vote for Snap Shades. Not cheap, but they’re Emira specific and they fit like they’re supposed to.

The first Heatshield I got was too small. There was a 2-3" gap at the top and on the sides. So, Heatshield graciously agreed to redo it, and we conversed several times with measurements, etc. The second Heatshield they sent is better in that it covers the entire windshield now, but (1) there's excess material at the sides, and (2) the top now covers the windshield, but it's not tall enough to 'catch' the sun visor.

I know, I'm being picky. It does the job, but I wouldn't say it's perfect.

Being in Oz, I've got the snapshades for my emira and tesla and they're worth the premium. Good fit and very sturdy. Being magnetic helps as well

Can you show us how the magnets work? Do you have to glue a magnet to the windshield or does it attach to an existing part?

The lining is magnetic so it will stick to the outline of your windshield

I have ceramic 70% on my Model 3 windshield and 15% on all the other windows (roof included). Ceramics work pretty well if you need to run into a store quick but if your car is sitting an hour or more in the sun it will overwhelm the windshield tint. I like the idea of the accordion style for the Emira so you can just throw it behind the seat on the parcel shelf.

I purchased the Emira Snap Shades and following their install directions (putting both visors down, to hold the shade) I found a gap close to the centre mirror which I wasn't expecting (see photos below, using an interior light to better see the gap). I emailed Snap Shades asking if this is a proper fit and have yet to hear back. Perhaps I'm being too fussy and you must have that gap, to fit around the mirror?? Or maybe my install is wrong?

Does everyone else who bought the Snap Shades, have the same fit? I can't tell from the photos posted above, due to the dark shadow around the mirror area.

I've now concluded by email exchange with Snap Shades. I sent them the above photos and they replied, saying they made a "one size fits all" shade for the Emira, with extra room around the mirror to allow for dash cams and other devices on/around the mirror, which I don't have. I asked if they could provide a small 8" x 3" filler piece I could velcro over the gap and they said no. They offered to accept a return since I'm within their 30 day delivery window, but I declined, having already paid out cross-border duty charges and knowing from experience that 95% of the time, you lose money with a return, due to exchange rates and manufacturers typically not reimbursing 100%, since they don't want to encourage returns. Being OCD, I'll wait to see if anyone else comes up with a better fit and encourage Forum members to post anything else they find that fits better.

I got my snap shade and it fits well enough. But I’m not getting any magnetic action at all. Not sticking to anything. Is mine defective or do others also have no magnetic action?
