Yes, very interested. I was told by another well known tuner that it may not be easy to fit one to the Emira, (that’s why they didn’t produce one for the A45S) because of with where the connections would be. Hopefully with the Emira engine being positioned differently, it will make accessing...
Hi I was chatting to my brother about fitting the Sports Cat, he wanted me to ask, as I don’t have a coder reader/remover atm, does it cause a fault code? Thanks
Funny, that’s what my brother suggested, we fit it, and we’ll learn more about the car. Was borderline on whether we should or not a but now I think we’ll give it ago. Thanks again guys for helping out.
Thanks, I don’t know much about working on cars. When I asked the Lotus service centre, about fitting the cat for me, they quoted me well over £2000, which included removing the turbo, replacing the gaskets and bolts. My brother who does most of his own car stuff, thought, removing the turbo...
Off topic, but I’ve ordered the Aerie sports cat, was thinking of getting the Ti Exhaust. Aerie said there wouldn’t be any cel, clearly that isn’t the case. Don’t want issues that dealers are reluctant to get involved with. Was the dealer worried it may invalidate warranty or an emissions thing?
Car can be launched in sport or track mode, I launched in track mode and don’t recall wheel spin. Will be interesting to see how the 400 hp version performs.
Got my i4 car in March, had a recall for the HVAC shield but when they checked the car, it had already been done at the factory. No word about Climate Control module, but had the hose modification done, at the same time as the software update for the gearbox.
Have an Audi RS3 8 Y, a few days ago, just to get an idea of actual performance, I done a quick test, with a draggy, on it and my Emira, on same bit of road, one after the other, achieved 0-60 mph time of 3.59 for the Audi, and 3.91 for the Lotus. I’m fairly satisfied that the performance...
I happened to call with the dealer for another matter, when the service guy told me about the update. He said that he’d only just found out about it, hadn’t had any advance notice about it from Lotus.
Hopefully you get your car sorted out. Mine was okay in forward gear but woeful, in reverse. Now a couple of quck taps on the lever and it engages the gear you requested, so much better!
Got it done on Thursday, only takes about 10 minutes or so, dealer had only just found out about it. Had a chance to test it out over the last few days, and it works well. Takes the worry out of parking,
Yes, it’s frustrating and a shame it’s not up to standard for a modern car. I’m still awaiting a response from Lotus. Might not do any harm to ask your service centre to pass on your thoughts to Lotus, to bring some pressure onto the company to make some updates for improvement.
That’s it exactly. When parallel parking I ended up kerbing a wheel as I tried to hurry up my parking because the car had taken so long to engage reverse. I’ve raised the issue again, with Lotus, and hopefully they can resolve it.
Hi, I have the 2.0 ltr version of the Emira, and sometimes the car is unresponsive when I try to shift it into reverse. This problem has led to me, abandoning parking manoeuvres, and parking elsewhere, so I don’t have to worry about obstructing traffic while I try to park. Lotus don’t seem to...
As far as I know same rules as the rest of the uk. LCC were in touch re a test drive that I had done, to see if I wished to order one. Told him that I had already ordered, an i4, when he mentioned the delay until Q4. I hadn’t given him any specifics about my i4 order or location.
That’s what I was told today. Couldn’t believe it, I said I was told June 2024, he apologised, and said that they were working on Q4 delivery for the i4, earlier if they can but didn’t sound optimistic.
Hi, I am a deposit holder for an i4. Have had several delays for my car. The last update I had from LCC, before today was around November 2023, when I received a phone call statement that my car has been delayed until June 2024, due to awaiting type approval. Today I was informed by LCC, that i4...
