2024/2025 Emira Factory Order and Delivery Log

The dealer has to look for it though and it sounds like he's not getting any comms from them. I didn't get mine until I asked my sales guy if it existed.

No dealer can give a straight answer about tariffs because they don't exist yet. They are not going to scare you off for something that probably wont happen or commit to taking a hit themselves if it does. If your car is on the first boat then its already on US soil and shouldn't be tariffed.

If your car is built, they will have a VIN. If they don't have a VIN... that means your car doesn't exist yet.
Yes…. Which is a long way from “your car will be in the boat this week” which was the initial response 3 weeks ago.

First experience ordering a build from any manufacturer, but from all I have read, nothing out of the ordinary given the source.

Yeah, asked the dealer and yesterday I got a “we should have a VIN in the next 2-4 weeks”.

I’m half expecting a phone call on Monday saying they have the car ready for pickup, and also expecting that I’ll have more “we aren’t sure yet” at the end of May 😂

So if the dealer actually looked and didn't find a VIN yet your car doesn't exist. From what I've read the VIN is issued shortly before manufacture starts and certainly before its on a boat.

Yes, I’ve understood the same.

Just a bunch of conflicting information with no real answers.

Which seems to be everyone’s experience

Previously, Lotus provided a list of VINs to the dealers with their current status. There was no question as soon as the production was planned and assigned to a confirmed order. It's possible that your production is scheduled, but they are trying to match you up with another production VIN that may come earlier with the same configuration.

This is just a guess, however.

Mine has arrived at the dealer and should be ready for delivery in the next few days. So in the end right at 6 months from order submission to delivery for me for a base V6 manual in the Southeast US.
6 months would be sweet! That would make mine late June. (y)

Arrived at dealer today, I’ll pick it up Saturday. Salivating. It’s perfect. Meridian blue, white seats.

Can't quite see the blue, but congratulations.
Your finish line is in sight. You have a few sleepless nights ahead of you.
Then you'll be standing staring into your garage. And later, sitting in your car and familiarizing yourself with your ride.

Congrats!!

Beautiful car, I was SO close to meridian blue!

Jealous, and dreading the announcement on tariffs today.
Hopefully just blowing smoke, but as my potential (hopefully!) arrival is nearing, my concern about abandoning my build is becoming real.

Another Meridian Blue at last, they dont seem to be a frequently chosen colour, given the lack of pics on the site.
Let me know how the Whit interior goes, I was looking at it as an option, but was put off by a couple I saw that were 6 months old and had not worn well(Got dirty easily)

What part of the country are you in?

are you in houston, that place looks very familiar. I'm still waiting for my car in austin, hopefully by Friday latest :)

I didn't even get a VIN until today... apparently it's more like I ordered a car and it's already on a truck and the dealer decided to give me the VIN..

Initial deposit was October 2023…. Finally got the call in November and build sheet submitted/accepted by Lotus 11/14/24. I was told at that time to expect a February build date and delivery 3 months later.

Nothing since then, so I emailed the dealer last week and the initial reply said car would be on the boat by the end of the week. I followed up asking for confirmation, VIN, etc, and got a reply that “Lotus has been ahead of schedule by about 2 months”, and it would be either this boat or the April/May delivery boat, and VIN would be sent once shipping date was confirmed.

The week passed with no further updates yet.

Dark Verdant
Tan leather
Touring
Gray diamond cut forged wheels
Yellow calipers
UPDATE:

Just got a call this afternoon from the dealership after a couple of emails re: the tariff news over the weekend…

Despite being told they did not yet have a VIN, and did not know when the car might be shipping, apparently they now have confirmation this afternoon that the car has arrived in port and has cleared customs. No arrival date just yet, but supposedly it is at least in the country.

That was a November 14, 2024 build confirmation for an (unconfirmed but hopeful) April delivery.

Looks like you were on the 3/17 boat then. I got a text of my car from my dealer on Saturday. Seems they are hitting the west coast now. I have it currently scheduled for pickup next Saturday the 5th.

Got the VIN update a few minutes ago….

Unfortunately, I don’t know if I will be able to pick it up until early May because of work schedules and out of town commitments, but at least it’s here! Plus, that gives me time to have them get a PPF wrap and window tint.

Congrats! I really hope this is the case for me. Build submitted and confirmed with submission ID on 11/18, just a few days after yours.
