Adding a subwoofer

I fitted the pioneer tweeters today took me 1/2 an hour thanks to the information posted by other members
Absolutely amazing really adds to the sound

I’ve just bought these two items for delivery tomorrow
Does anyone know which side of the car in the rear the wires are to the sub and what the colour codes are
This information will save a whole lot of time

So that Kicker RCA thing as per the link above. (£30)

A Kicker Hideaway sub (£300ish)

1) Splice the adapter to the existing sub wires and plug the Hideaway in, mount under or behind the seat.

2) And then have to get power to the battery in the rear compartment.

3) an earth connection will be needed.

That’s it? Sounds fairly straightforward? Not competent at ripping the interior apart.

Could anyone give step by step instructions to the above 3 points? Much appreciated if anyone can!

You’d want someone to confirm an under seat subwoofer actually fits under a seat. I like that idea far more than a sub in a box on the back shelf.

Kicker Hideaways don’t need the adapter; at least my model didn’t. I had the 10s. It’s built in. Just tap into subwoofer wires and go.

It’s on the US passenger side. The wires are directly connected to the sub. I forgot to take pictures when I was in there. But they are pretty easy to spot.

Okay. Took a few pictures. Sorry. Don’t have time to take apart the car right now and I forgot to take them when I initially did it. Also noticed I forgot to heat shrink one of them. Ugh. And need to tie up the power cable a bit more.

Ran power through bulkhead.
Grounded under carpet on shelf to one of the bolts. I did a grounding test to make sure it was viable.
And I tapped into wires prior to subwoofer.

Most modern car audio amplifiers and powered subwoofers no longer need a separate line level converter. They usually come equipped with speaker-level inputs as-is. Check to see if the powered subwoofer you are buying has speaker level input already.
