Given that being the case. Potentially, someone putting a deposit down today, they could get delivery before Christmas

It's possible they can do delivery in 2-3 weeks if it's just finished build. If you sort the Checkout email items quickly and the car passes PDI then you're in the hands of BCA to schedule you onto a delivery run. I've heard of some people waiting a week to be offered dates and others waiting 2-3 weeks until they hear.

Well, one thing in my favour is that Upper Heyford is only 20 miles away from Lotus Silverstone, so shouldn't take to long to transport there.

I've been waiting 2 weeks since checkout. The latest I was told was that there are some delays that have been caused by teething issues with the Lotus transport team. The current estimated time between check out and delivery/collection is 30 days.
