You evil monster!Im gonna hack that ... haha
To say "Soon" or to randomly add 7 days to the countdown every 5 days?Im gonna hack that ... haha
Was watching Rich Reviews latest YouTube video last night. He is excited about the Emira and happy with performance and sport handling of the car, though seems to have had issues trying to obtain a test due to booking arrangement. Frustrated on cars at dealerships and there should be both a sport and tourer at each venue. I cannot disagree. To say "Soon" or to randomly add 7 days to the countdown every 5 days?
Yes, i feel the same as a pre reveal deposit holder of 3 years and counting. I like you have called LCC for an explanation on why post reveal deposit holders are getting their cars before pre reveal deposits. They seem unable to give an answer. In desperation, i emailed Scott Walker, and to be fair to him, he is on the case for an explanation. Lets hope he has more luck in finding out than the rest of us.Was watching Rich Reviews latest YouTube video last night. What was surprising is that he placed his deposit June 2022 a full 14 months before my pre- reveal allocation. Yet he like us all have been pushed back this year. He seemed disappointed due to the latest push back from Nov/Dec build to now March 2023. A full 5 months. He also criticised Lotus Communication on monthly updates which has never happened.
Well I guess I should be also upset and surprised as being on the list some 14 months before he placed deposit. I have a build of April 2023.
This is totally unfair and indeed flies in the face of being a priority customer. I have reached out to Lotus but no response. So I am really on the fence now. Particularly after my test drive and loss of love for this car. But it does show that the system isn’t working for many of us.
Yes I have contacted Scott for an explanation. But, I think his hands are tied by corporate procedures and hierarchy.Yes, i feel the same as a pre reveal deposit holder of 3 years and counting. Yes i agree. Surely it can't be that difficult to set up a system to build in deposit order. Having spoken to Porsche, that is the way they work.Yes I have contacted Scott for an explanation. But, I think his hands are tied by corporate procedures and hierarchy.
I think there are others (maybe a management issue higher up) that has been put in place by whoever, that doesn’t give a stuff.
I think this is really going to catch them out in the long run. Customers need to be treated right not like this.

Yes Tom, Scott did call me on the phone, because he said the points i raised in my email to him warranted a call back. I suggested to him that perhaps my original deposit on the 5th October 2019 had been overlooked as my deposit to the Lotus website had been on the 7th August 2021. Even though i was assured that when i gave them the 32 digit number, i would retain my place in the queue. He said that it was likely the explanation for me being put down the queue, but he would contact me when he found out what happened.Scott has been looking into this in response to me asking him too. That's been going to and fro since late August, with still no explanation.
It was Scott who sorted out the transition of pre-reveal deposits from UK dealers to Hethel when he was in charge of UK sales. He (and other senior people) assured us our original deposit dates would be the basis for scheduling our builds. That appeared to be true until June but then something fundamental changed and many of us got pushed down in to batches 2/3/4 instead. I suspect they reverted to using deposit conversion date rather than original deposit date.
I cannot wait for mid 2023. I have already missed out this year track days and tours with friends. I did not get an alternative car for this year due to multiple broken promises on delivery.maybe there will be an answer around May time....
which will be about as useful as.....en electric blanket in Bali
Oh, by the way guys, last Thursday i got a call from LCC to tell me that my car was complete/rolled off the line. @TomE, can you tell me please, am i being unrealistic when i asked if my car could be delivered week beginning 5th December, given that LCC said that would be ok?Yes Tom, Scott did call me on the phone, because he said the points i raised in my email to him warranted a call back. Totally agree. I don't know about anyone else on this forum, but my best guess, and i have said this before, is the Lotus policy for build sequence is names out of a hat.I cannot wait for mid 2023. Here we sit with another promise of April. So unfortunately another plan is in place and it doesn’t include Lotus.
So I am afraid they are shooting themselves in the foot at every turn of this process. I think many on this forum are thinking the same.
At this point I do not have a good word to say about Lotus customer service, or production who seem to be ruling the roost on whom gets a car and who doesn’t, and whoever, is in charge wants to really look at themselves very closely. Because everyone else is - and thinking are these really professional people and truthful or not for the promises they have not kept, specifically to the pre-reveal customers.
I need to correct you, since modernisation has occurred at Lotus, it's names out of a cardboard box, it's a more efficient process with better quality results.Totally agree. Apologies, i stand corrected. Would that be a cardboard box similar to the ones with the front and rear springs in, as shown on the Harry's Garage Hethel video.I need to correct you, since modernisation has occurred at Lotus, it's names out of a cardboard box, it's a more efficient process with better quality results.
It's possible they can do delivery in 2-3 weeks if it's just finished build. If you sort the Checkout email items quickly and the car passes PDI then you're in the hands of BCA to schedule you onto a delivery run. I've heard of some people waiting a week to be offered dates and others waiting 2-3 weeks until they hear.Oh, by the way guys, last Thursday i got a call from LCC to tell me that my car was complete/rolled off the line. @TomE, can you tell me please, am i being unrealistic when i asked if my car could be delivered week beginning 5th December, given that LCC said that would be ok?
