I asked Lotus last week about mine (Dec build/Jan delivery) and they said checkout was likely to be less than 30 days before delivery - in my case either in the week pre-Christmas or first week of Jan for a Jan delivery.

I got a phone call from LCC on Friday telling me that my car status was now in build. As you say, they said 3 weeks from end of the line to delivery. I appear to be the same as you, November build December delivery. I also asked if delivery could be week beginning 5th December as i have got that week off so would be ideal. We shall see.

Well, i had a good chat with CC, first time for everything.

So you, @TomE and myself should be getting our cars at roughly the same time. Also had a test drive on Saturday, Touring/Goodyears. The car is amazing, far better than my Caterhams and S2 Elise.

thats not the issue though.... well it is for Tom of course....
my issue, it drives better than a caterham.....
haha... i mean, it keeps you dryer..... better stereo although its not great, but drive and excite wise....

I think you need to get back in one..

As i have posted before, i had 2 Caterhams for 8 years as a daily. It is just that on track they are hard work. Suspension quite stiff made them some what skittish. Getting wet wears a little thin over time. Glad of the experiences though. Perhaps, after having the S2 Elise, which was, well relatively anyway, more comfortable and far better on track. Perhaps i am getting old. So after driving the Emira i would say it is a much better car all round.

Apologies if this has been covered somewhere in the previous squillion pages of this thread, but does anyone know at what point in the build process Lotus send the checkout email? It doesn’t sound like anyone in the November build/December delivery batch has had this yet, and given that we are already halfway through November, I'm starting to think my December delivery is more likely to be January

I was in the late October / early Nov build group and had my checkout email 10 days ago… it is def happening, just slowly.

I think you were #2, #3 or #4. You weren't #1 and were in the first 10. All a bit academic now, sadly.

I'm Dec build, not Nov build.

Is this for me or everyone. Is it to keep my interest or is this a thread leading to something. I am not sure what it’s for?
