There have been some postings about the battery tender included with U.S. vehicles, but I didn't see any photos and thought this might be moderately helpful to some:
Tonight I installed the tender on my i4. This is the Lotus-branded tender that was in the trunk when I received the vehicle. I removed the battery clips from the ends of the leads, leaving the exposed ring terminals. After removing the battery cover (two thumbscrews), I carefully unclipped and removed the plastic guard that covers the positive terminal and adjacent fuse block. I positioned the positive tender lead under the nut holding the positive battery terminal and carefully threaded the tender wire through an existing notch on the plastic guard while snapping the guard back in place. I attached the negative ring terminal under one of the hold-down screws at the base of the battery bracket. The battery cover went back in place with the lead exiting the bottom. Clean and simple.
