There have been some postings about the battery tender included with U.S. vehicles, but I didn't see any photos and thought this might be moderately helpful to some:

Tonight I installed the tender on my i4. This is the Lotus-branded tender that was in the trunk when I received the vehicle. I removed the battery clips from the ends of the leads, leaving the exposed ring terminals. After removing the battery cover (two thumbscrews), I carefully unclipped and removed the plastic guard that covers the positive terminal and adjacent fuse block. I positioned the positive tender lead under the nut holding the positive battery terminal and carefully threaded the tender wire through an existing notch on the plastic guard while snapping the guard back in place. I attached the negative ring terminal under one of the hold-down screws at the base of the battery bracket. The battery cover went back in place with the lead exiting the bottom. Clean and simple. See the photos below.

Hope this is helpful to some ....

Nicely done! I have this on my To Do List as well.

Mine was installed by the dealer pre delivery.
It was installed exactly the same as you did it.

Have you guys thought about installing this lead out through the wheel well? It's not ideal to leave the hatch cracked to clear the wire and then trick the latch to open when I'm ready to remove the charger. It would be nice if I could reach this lead from outside the car so that I could leave the hatch closed nice and tight.

Could you explain how you tricked the notch to open?

I just leave the cable passing through and closing the trunk on it doesn't seem to be marking the trunk itself at all

You just push it all the way down, with a key (but I think you could use your finger too), just like the metal latch would normally push it all the way down.
