Driving shoes

I’ve had my Emira for about 3 months now and I love it.

I haven’t owned a manual in 12 years so I no longer have my old driving shoes.
I’m not an expert in heel-toe but I’m trying to get better. I’m not planning on tracking the car.

I’ve been mostly wearing some leather sneakers but I don’t love them because the sole is studded.

What is your preferred shoe with the Emira?

Any opinions about the following types of shoes:
- indoor soccer shoes
- boxing or wrestling shoes
- “barefoot” shoes (Xero, Vivo)
- Piloti driving shoes
- Puma speedcats or other Pumas

I have a pair of Air Jordons mesh shoes that I especially like driving with manual Slingshot driving
and used them for the Evora's I owned that were manual...
Ordered Emira at 73 yrs old and bad knees the I4 ..
When I drove the Manual Emira wanted it but thought clutch was a little more pressure as I get older.
Will still use Air Jordon's or the old reliable Sketchers ...Not All Sketchers will work or feel comfortable driving..

Indoor soccer shoes aren't bad you could do a little better likely, but easiest to find and often discounted.

Overall my highest pref does go to something like a Speedcat. I prefer the originals, pretty much the only complaint for them would be 1. they don't fit wide feet, so that can be hard for some folks, 2. The soles wear out pretty fast.

Def don't need boxing or wrestling shoes, you'll want something you can still walk around in without wearing out in 20 minutes on pavement. Plus I'd think those would cost enough to warrant just buying something labeled as a driving shoe.

Piloti - I have no experience, not all their shoes feature a "good" heel cup from the looks. They seem about 50% more expensive than a comparable option from Puma or otherwise. I struggle with breathability of my shoes, so I've not gone that route.

For me, if I could get Vessi to make a shoe with a heel cup that would be about perfect. Highly breathable, waterproof, comfortable walking in, just needs a good no-slip to the heel without a bunch of padding.

I just ordered some Converse Run Star trainers on Black Friday because they looked like good casual shoe that will work and I don't have to set aside and say "no no, that's only for driving"
