Hello,

I have just acquired a Lotus Emira 3.5L V6 First Edition, I have two questions if you can help me with your opinion
  1. Exhaust Sound: I don't like the exhaust sound as it sounded airy like and I am looking for more on deep base sound. not just loud but deep base V6 sound.
  2. Performance: I am not sure if it is because of the exhaust system but whenever I push the gas padel I feel like the car exhaust flow is kind of pressured as if something is holding it back and it wants to break free :)
I've already applied the Milltek GPF/OPF Bypass Exhaust as well as the Milltek Active Valve control system which made very good enhancement, but I am still not happy with the exhaust sound.

What are your recommendations here?

Can you give us an example of another V6 that you thought had "deep bass"? Would help to have a few tangible examples.

This is my first rear-mid engine car and I feel like part of the major difference in perceived exhaust sound is that I don't have an engine in front of me with downpipes, cats, etc running under my seat. It all starts behind us in the Emira and then heads rearward from there. But maybe someone can tune some headers to really play with the tone? Most of the mods I've seen/heard via youtube add volume and more scream (not what you or I would want).

For now I have the 3rd cat out and I'm happy with the fact that the Emira has a genuine motorsport sound. And that the supercharger doesn't sound like a hellcat. But for "bass", I'll grab the keys to my wife's V8 Vantage when she's not looking...

Only way you're going to get a deeper tone is a larger diameter tubing, but it will come at a cost of excessive droning while cruising

I honestly liked the sound of the Larini Exhaust System, but some on the comment say it is just because of the high quality of the microphone... I would love to hear from someone who actually has the Larini to tell me if it really sounds like the below video or not ?
