Emira weight saving

Its going to feel strange not modifying my Emira. I won't be modifying anything until I am 100% sure the Emira I have will be the Emira I will have forever. I am hoping that there will be legitimate upgrades before things go EV. I'll trade up until I can't.

When I bought my 400 I was already sure I would have it forever so I modified the hell out of it. I'm looking forward to doing the same thing with my Emira. I hope the increased attention to the brand will draw in a bigger aftermarket.

This! I've raced karts with carbon Tilletts a few months ago and I'm still sore! Ok, that's a bit of an exaggeration, but I definitely want padded seats in my $100k car. Tillett makes some awesome stuff and can't wait to see what's available for the Emira. It'll be great to get the 12-ways out and weight compared!

Just looked up the Tillett B2s and they're only ~9lbs with optional pads! I suspect the 12-way oem seats are 40-60lbs each.

The Emira has side airbags in the seats so swapping them out will trigger airbag warnings and error codes. Someone will need to find an adapter that mimics the airbag connection to avoid this issue.

That's easy enough. I'm more worried about finding a way to flash the 2GR 430hp tune.

Jubu will have that by December... Pretty sure they already have it ready to go. Just need an Emira to test it out. lol

Boosting it to 500HP and giving those exotics a run for their money sounds like a blast. But you're right. It's a decision that comes with trade-offs like warranty and resale value.
May as well just buy a 991.2 GT3 for the amount of money required to do all this to an Emira.

Yeah but then all you’ve got is a Porsche like everyone else.
Yawn.

I think the Emira is great the way it is, but can fully understand someone spending whatever it is to take it to 450hp+ and playing around with the suspension, maybe losing some weight etc.

If you can afford to do that and not worry about warranty you’ve got a far more interesting, desirable, and exotic car than a 911.
And for significantly less money.

Btw did someone already put Emira on the scales?

I'd like to know if we are talking about 1480kg with full fuel tank or even lighter?

Komotech weighed it at 1450 kg and adjusted to 1457 kg with a 90% full fuel tank.

It seems like it’s only about 50lbs heavier than an Evora Gt without the Carbon pack on it. 50lbs really isn’t that much.

For cheap weight savings: .... Mediterranean Diet:)
Saved me 10lbs already, now only another 40lbs (gulp) to go before Emira delivery in the spring:whistle:
