It has been mentioned before that Lotus have been referring to the 4cyl car internally as the Emira Turbo for quite some time now, essentially since they stopped using the i4 designation following complaints from BMW.That's quite interesting, as is the choice to rebrand the 360hp base 4cyl car "Emira Turbo".
That wheel finish actually looks great, better than the FE factory finishes in my opinion.

I think it's bananas that BMW was granted a Trademark for "I4" for exclusive use in class 12 of goods. Their exclusion/limiting language that it only applies to electric cars and parts is worthless. Case-in-point if they are not allowing other car manufacturers to use the I4 moniker on gasoline cars. They initially filed an international registration for "i4" but it was refused by the US patent/trademark office. They then abandoned that application and filed a US domestic application. They got lucky, I guess. I am also surprise that no one opposed it.

I Agree, but unfortunately this will never happen. Lotus need to keep selling theses things and this is a way of dangling that carrot!All owners, should be given the option to update the mapping (on all Emira versions) by Lotus. At a fair price and in an easy way. Too much to hope for?
McLaren recently offered a free power upgrade to existing Artura owners to match the map of the latest cars. Smart move as it costs them very little and keeps the customers happy so they will stick with the brand in future. Lotus should do them same, but of course they won't because under Geely they have repeatedly shown themselves to be clueless about customer care. It should be blindingly obvious that an Emira owner offered a free remap would be be far more likely to consider an Eletre or Emeya.I Agree, but unfortunately this will never happen.
