Loving my (orphan) Lotus Emira, but if I had ordered from new, I would've gone with yellow calipers instead of red. I'm currently exploring a few options:
  • Purchasing OEM yellow calipers (new or used) and selling the red ones.
  • Refinishing my calipers to yellow (I'd prefer to stick with OEM, but everything is on the table).
  • Or, trading/swapping with someone who has yellow and wants red. Figure it’s a longshot but with asking the question.
Please let me know if you or someone you know is interested in selling or trading/swapping calipers. Thanks!

I have to agree with you that the red on red isn't ideal. Refinishing to yellow is interesting, do you think you could achieve the proper shade and would the longevity be there? Any idea how much OEM replacements would be?

Color, yes… folks can color match. Longevity, not sure. Have to assume OEM finish is pretty durable (It’s AP racing), no guarantees on an aftermarket paint or powder coat. OEM Pricing looks to be about $1100 a corner (ouch).

The factory finish of the AP’s on my Evora 400 (2015) looked a bit rough by 2024. I resprayed them and I’ve done it with previous cars. If you choose the right paint, they last better than the factory finish. I will say that the factory finish on the Lotus AP’s are better than the factory finish on the F-Type brakes.
