Congrats on taking delivery … how are you finding the sound ? Does it still sound raw ? What’s it like with the windows down ?
Thanks! Are the burbles as bad as the M4? I really don't like them, they sound very artificial. It sounds very good and to me surprisingly refreshing for having pretty much the same drive train as my Evora. Having said that the supercharge dominates the sound over the exhaust tone. You get a lot of burble when going of the accelerator in sport and track mode. No bangs when shifting under load though. There is a lot of mechanical noise (in a good sense) but in direct comparison to the Evora the Emira is much more quiet (but I think the Evora GT430 is one of the loudest cars on the road for a stock setup).
Emira sounds more like "modern" cars from the outside, but still has this V6 bark that is similar to a GTR for example. The burble reminds me of a M4, but maybe this is just me? And I havent really heard the Emira much from the outside other than when driving with the windows down (which adds a bit but not too much).
Overall I am very satisfied with the sound because it has a lot of character without being too fake (besides the artificial burble) and I am quite happy that it is not as loud as the GT430. Having said that, many people will crave an aftermarket exhaust to unleash the potential...
Be interesting to know the weight wouldn't itWow thanks this is def new info.
Front is 8.5x20 ET 57
Rear is 10.5x20 ET 5X?
- Wheels are now made by Dicastal -- US based company and made in China.
- 685 KG load rating which is right on par with other forged 6061-T6 wheels.
- Offsets look different to those in the Evora.
- Nothing on markings clarifies BCD or center bore size however I think we saw them rolling around on old Evora wheels in the factory floor if I remember correctly?
Sorry if I have missed a reply, but do we know if any areas come with PPF protection applied?I have a question… straight out of factory, where is the PPF already done?
Previously there were some pics shown of small portion of PPF behind the front and rear wheels.

It would be useful to have pictures of the PPF. The Dark Verdant car delivered in the UK on Friday has gone straight to a PPF specialist and he confirmed the car had the same areas fitted with factory PPF. He was going to remove and do the whole car.Oh, sorry I may have missed the question
So my car being delivered by a german dealer did not have the extra options that UK buyers can sign up to from factory.
But the area between the rear wheels and the doors is PPF'ed from factory. I'll take a photo later.
I also asked my dealer for a quote to get the front of the car PPF'ed (like I did with my GT430 Sport) but the price was a bit insane to be honest. They work with an independent company who does the work them. The guy came and checked how much work it is to PPF the car and obviously the front with all those lines and curves is a very complex piece to work on, so it ended up being around 2000€ for just the front alone. I could get the front resprayed for that in a few years if I want.
Hope it's not too long a closure! Any chance you'll be there next Sunday? As I would absolutely love to see the car and maybe even jump in for a passenger ride in exchange for the lap ticket and a beerPosting from another traffic jam on very busy Ring that just got temporarily closed when I arrived.
There should be a little strip of PPF behind the rear wheel as well. Here is the PPF'ed area, its as far as I have seen the only section on the car that has factory PPF.

Thanks to the OP for the wheel spec info! Looks like rear offset is 54. With a front offset of 57 and a rear of 54, unless somebody makes a pre-built set for this car, we're not going to find off-the-shelf wheels for it. You'll be able to get custom-built of course, but those won't be cheap.Wow thanks this is def new info.
