Great day and great meet up with @neiru37 @Tomwa! I’ll post a few of my own pics later.

Just noticed this, 3 out of four of us were non-full black pack, and know this was by choice for at least myself and @neiru37. Still waiting to see how f anyone on the forum claims the vivid red at the show. @Tomwa what would you have chosen? I’m thinking zinc may look better with?

I was there but couldn’t stick around long. Nice to see Emiras in the wild!

I am full black back actually.

I think what he meant was us two and the red one were not full black pack.

Do you go to exotics @ rtc regularly? I've gone regularly (except for two occasions) since late July to try to meet other owners. So far encountered one other owner before british car day last saturday.

At least it finally got me over to Benchmark to get my car detailed. Looks good as new!
Are they good? I've been trying to convert my partial PPF to full and so far the quotes I've been getting around the area have been pretty high. ~5k at east side, ~3.5k somewhere in Seattle and ~2.5k with park place of all places.

By the way, I encourage everyone to join the lotus discord, especially for coordinating stuff like meets and get togethers since it's more of a messaging app than a forum like this one. I've already asked for a club specific (and in turn location specific) channel for Washington there. Search for wa-evergreen-lotus.

Mis-understood before. I think Zinc does indeed look better with full blackpack. Hethel I think looks great both ways, though the first 2 orphans i was interested in were both one with, and one without. The 'without' was the second car and I had to do a lot of convincing myself that it was just as good looking without.

Of the orphans I could have chosen from there was a Mist White coming that had black pack, I love white cars, but I've come to think it might be because they show well on the internet. Though the wife's subaru is white and I quite like it.

At the time Parkplace had 4-5 cars they couldn't seem to get rid of. 2 Nimbus Grey, 2 Shadow Grey, 1 Osmium Silver. Interestingly they didn't try to throw me a discount for one of the cars they weren't moving. Of those the Osmium i think is what I would have taken though it did have a alacantra steeringwheel which was pretty high on my "nope" list.

In the end, I'm really happy with the red interior. It reminds you that you are in a car that's pretty special and it gets good reactions.

@neiru37 you are braver than me to go with the white interior though. I'm pretty sure I would stain it wearing some darkwash jeans

Here's some pics of mine and ones I dredged up from various places of British Car Day in Redmond. Lots of interesting machinery and automotive art! Great fun!!

Early morning (6am) line up:

I got to watch the staging in center court before the crowds showed up. The "parking thugs" as they are affectionately known clustered four Caterham 7s next to and behind my Emira. Two in traditional BRG/yellow, one in Gulf colors and the last a close match to Atlantis Blue. NICE!

The Elise spec I would have bought 20 years ago had not fiscal responsibility and raising a family gotten in the way:

A super sweet Elan that seems to epitomize the simplify and add lightness mantra:

A different perspective of @neiru37 's car and a super clean Europa (not my pic, so can't take credit!):

A couple of interesting Esprits:

And the "official" unofficial video I found on the web.

A bit jumpy and vomit inducing at times though. If you want to skip through, here's some locations for you:

3:56 is the unknown owner's red Emira
8:40 is @Tomwa 's car
10:31 is @neiru37 's car
15:10 is my car

And the drive aways are at:
26:10 is me
27:14 is @neiru37

Cheers!
Mark

For those in the PDX area wondering about oil change service, etc. I'd posted some shops that I was going to check into for my 1000 break in Oil change. Settled on this shop in the NE... https://www.714technikpdx.com/

Mike, the owner and lead tech, is a super skilled and passionate guy. Work was well done, reasonably priced. Highly recommended.

Also hopefully we get a few days of sunshine so you can get to enjoy your car a little more. Then again, maybe the rain would help with restraint while the engine is being broken in.

That said, dealerships are not reading the break in procedure in the manual correctly (at least Park place isn't). It is not "keep the car below 4k rpm" it is "no sustained operating over 4k". Which is done cruise around the highway at 5.5k and refusing to shift up. But if you run it through the Rev range just going from 1st to 2nd that is fine
