Update: The car finally finished its PDI so I went in to go see it and inspect the work, but mainly to talk about the overall condition of the vehicle when it arrived and my hesitations with buying it as is. Well long story short I walked.
When I got to the dealership all the issues to the naked eye were resolved and the car looked great, with the exception of the paintwork being swirled all over. I asked to start it up to get one last look at the odometer, which had an additional 8 miles added. The salesman wanted to go work out the numbers. He presented the MSRP, sales tax, deal doc, etc for a total price of 121,358. Just below that the mileage was disclosed as being 9. I told him that was incorrect and that when I turned the car on just now it read 335. He stated that the mileage is just written that way because that's what they put on all the new vehicles paperwork. I pushed harder and ask why exactly does this car have this many miles on it because that just seems like an unacceptable amount on a new car. He then responded with "So you don't want to accept the car?". I said I would still be willing to accept it I just need an explanation. He literally shrugged at me and said it's not an issue, new cars come in with varying miles on them all the time. I said it was an issue for me and he responded with no problem, these are very rare and they will probably sell it instantly as soon as I reject it and repeated that the mileage for a car like this is a non issue. I said then I can't accept it for its MSRP with this many unknown miles. He said no problem and walked me out the door.
So yea, I wish I could have gotten more information as to why this car had so many miles on it and whether it was actually my order or not, but the dealer had no inclination to tell me anything. So I'm sure in the next few days a Yellow Hethal will be posted in California with 335+ miles on it. I didn't even get a VIN for the car, in hindsight I wish I took a picture of the windscreen, but I was already amped going into the dealership. I'm starting to suspect they found a similar car at another California dealership and drove it there in an attempt to move their orders. Not sure where to go from here. Will probably take a few months off trying to find another car and clear my mind. If it's something I still want from now then maybe I'll buy one from a lot, but I don't think I will order another car again. What a hassle it has been. Once again thanks for all the support and responses from the community. Everyone was very helpful here and its been a pleasure.
