I am test driving Saturday!! (Western NY)

I asked about that, because they do. That was where the Emira unveil event was, but there is considerably more parking at one of their partner stores in Westfield apparently. Wondering if it's a sport suspension spec or touring. Either way... I'll be there tomorrow around 5:15.
Westfield Emira is sports suspension with all seasons.

I just moved from Hopat. Summit would have been my dealer.

Let me just say, wow. I had previously seen the reveal, sat in the car, toured the factory, watched endless videos online and analyzed what and who said what and why, and now... having just driven the car, I'm blown away. The steering is sooo precise, and the wheel is in no way too chunky as some have said... not in the least. The brakes were insane... ride quality (despite this being sport package on imperfect roads) was exceptional for a car like this, but above everything else was just the immersive experience of control and the SOUND! It sounded incredible in the cabin... thats all I can say. I was already stoked about the car, and can't wait for mine but I didn't think I could've been surprised, and I most definitely was. What a job, Lotus. Thanks to Ray and the team at Lotus of North Jersey.

Now I’m stoked! I have a test drive scheduled for Tuesday! I did not make the cutoff for a FE, but rather base and I was invited and given a 1/2 hour time slot. I’ll be at Lotus of Pittsburgh - Wright motors. Tuesday will determine how quickly I start stacking the Benjamins or 🤷🏼‍♂️

I"m sure others will agree when I say that's what I wanted to hear!!!! Thanks for the write-up...:)

Not going to Lie, I am going to make the trip to Buffalo this weekend!! Two hours away from me. I will pop in there on Saturday, I know I won't be able to get a test drive but at least I will see one in the flesh! Thanks !!
Reports are welcome whether you’re doing a test drive or a spectator. Bring home the details you fellow crazy Canuck!

This is what you’ll be driving in on Tuesday. Brian from Lotus Corporate will be your wingman. Think that you’re gonna like it!

I am 6'3", 212lbs. Long legs, so I will be curious how I fit. I wear a size 13 shoe, so I am hoping my feet aren't an issue with the cramped pedal box.

I will take detailed pics of seats and whatever else. Disappointed it won't be the final stereo setup since I am a bit of an audiophile.

Dealer said either he or another guy will be in the car, have a route planned that involves the expressway and some driving around a college area or something. Approximately 25-30 mins allotted per person.
Was there plenty of room for you to fit comfortably?

It wasn't bad actually; plenty of leg room, had to keep seat forward a little. My gripe was the headrest (all part of the seat) being short.

Also, size 13 feet with small sneakers on and still the clutch and brake were way too close. When I pressed the clutch, a few times I would catch my braking foot and apply them on accident.

I opted against going to the Buffalo dealership as I heard that they are coming to Canada in the next few weeks. Would prefer to get some seat time and there was no guarantee of knowing if when I got there it would be going around on constant test drives.

I feel us Canadian times are coming nearer! Has anyone heard from their Canadian dealers of potential test drives yet?

Link to my post in the test drives, just posted. Get comfortable, it's a long one.

You are correct about the brake, clutch (and the gas pedal actually) being way too close together. A couple times during the test drive (with size 10 sneakers on), when depressing the clutch and braking, the car would also rev as you were inadvertently also stepping on part of the gas pedal.

Much better if we get the Emira in our own backyard. Haven’t heard when or where but I hope it happens soon before the white stuff arrives. Since they’re currently close to the border maybe they’re going to soon invade Canada. Looking forward to the real deal. Lotus, get an Emira on the 401 and head due north...we are waiting with great anticipation.

It´s made to last. When you grow older, you´ll be shorter an it will fit perfectly! 😜

Now seriously, is that a deal breaker?
In my case, I don´t recall in normal driving leaning my head against the headrest. Never had an issue with many different cars and different headrest sizes.
Clutch and brake, I understand, different story.

When it comes to sports cars I'm so happy to be on the shorter side...:)

Should make heel-toe easy
