Just for fun. If you sold your EMIRA and bought another vehicle what would it be? (Around the same price or less than the EMIRA)

Yeah let’s get back on track with the thread. Anyone consider getting an m2? I’ve driven a newer m3 and wasn’t thrilled but I hear the newer m2 is pretty good.
It’s hard to take a conversation about the m2’s looks seriously.

What year did you drive, was it the comp xDrive by chance?

This is a vehicle I want and seeing if I should trade in 1 of my other vehicles for it or not. TRX or Wrangler 392

I looked at the new M2 this past summer. I like the previous generation M2C much better, but the latest generation still offers value if you can get past the polarizing styling and added mass.

It was a 2023 m3 manual transmission so no the Xdrive. I have a Jeep JL too btw and would LOVE a 392. That car is wild!
Yes it is! I was one of the first ones when I placed my order in 2021. Most dealership didn’t know how to order yet or didn’t have allocation. Found one talked to the GM he was like let’s see if it works and did it over the phone.

I really do love it, it’s a toy like all vehicles we love.

Yes, I recently drove the 2025 M2 on track at the bmw performance center and was seriously impressed with just how good it was. Great power and puts it down surprisingly well even in cold, damp conditions. Even more surprising was the front end grip. Together and combined with good body control and better than decent steering had me feeling heroic from behind the wheel!

I’ve driven the F87 M2 and although fun and lively I felt it was unnecessarily tail happy. This new G87 more than addresses that and takes the M2 to a higher level - on par with the bigger brothers (M3 & M4).

As posted earlier in this thread, I’d seriously consider a new M2 but not as a replacement for the Emira. To me, the Emira just feels and looks more special but damn is that M2 good! First BMW I’ve ever wanted to own, not just drive.

Ohh I just thought about a car that I’ve been really wanting to drive. The Cadillac cts V5 blackwing. Am def planning on renting one on Turo this summer. Vastly different than the Emira but it gets praises from reviewers

In the short term, C8 Z06 maybe. Not a fan of the styling but LT6 sounds sooooo good. No manuals. :(
Or a manual GT3 depending on the budget.
Can't really think of others. Vantage or AMG GT? But no manuals either.

Great calculator. The only think I could think that would make it better is manual or auto option because I still think 3.0 is a hard target without launch.
The problem with calculators like that is they don't take into account gear ratios, especially the diff, or the power curve for the engine's tune. When I was hanging out with the Camaro crowd, there were guys that simply switched out the gearing in the diff from the factory 3.5 to a 3.9 or even a 4, and without any other change, they were suddenly a beast on acceleration off the line. The sacrifice was high end speed, but it sure worked for 0-60.

Anyways.... back to not selling your Emira because nothing else looks better. ;)
