Just for fun. If you sold your EMIRA and bought another vehicle what would it be? (Around the same price or less than the EMIRA)

🍿

I too choose this guys C8.

Well from the side anyway, darker Grey definitely works better with the black bits. The headlights on the c8 , and front end in general I don't love though.

I travel to the US(Mainly FL) a lot and see the C8 being used a lot too, but all I see them doing is driving up and down Interstates and/or large state roads. I have yet to see one pushed hard.....ever.
Almost seems a waste given their performance capabilities. However, they do look AMAZING !!!

While the C8 leaves some things to be desired it is absolutely a performance BARGAIN. In some configurations it looks better than others. I like how yours is setup.
Thanks, I am not a typical corvette car guy, love euro sports cars. This color was not a typical Z color & my build all in was 119k, paid MSRP not over but they are going for under now and a true bargain. It’s all about the engine in this car, stupid power with revs to 8600 and the exhaust sound with its burbles and pops are insane. Happy Holidays. R8 would be slower but I sold my manual gated R8 and miss that car ever since. Next R8 will be a PDK.

When I had my PPF installed they removed the corvette on rear and emblem on front. I left it off. This color changes in the light it a Tri-Coat, my wheels are graphite not black they were discounted for 2024 which is my car. The Z comes with Coil overs will have it lowered .50 inches front to .70 inches rear. That will happen next week been way to busy. Emira is a much better looking car, doing what I can to improve the looks of the Z, back end looks better without corvette lettering. So does the front without emblem.

Added heat protection to Lower trunk temperature it’s helped about 15 degrees. Dopey tires are just stupid 275/30/20 Front XL Rear 345/25/21

We can't push our cars hard on the road in most places. You'd have to go somewhere rural or be in an area where the police are not enforcing laws to see cars pushed on public roads. A car like the C8, and the Emira to a similar extent, makes going out for a drive a special event even if you are not pushing things. So while a great many number of C8s never see a race track or get to approach the performance potential they were designed for, their owners are nonetheless having a great time driving them around.

I agree, these cars have more power than any street can allow. The Z06 is event when it’s on all the race settings on the street, it helps since no manual is offered. The Emira is an event because your connected especially with the manual trans engagement at any speed.

McLaren Artura would be high on my list. Got to demo this one and feels very similar to the Emira handling wise… no manual but 152mph on main straight vs 129mph 🤯

I’ve always wanted a GT4 with DeMan Motorsport treatment… more power and better gearing to really transform the car.

I really enjoy my daily an F87 M2c, but the GRP titanium exhaust really transformed the Emira. Makes me wanna drive it daily and keep her forever.

I like McLarens in general. However. It makes it very difficult for the brand when they keep dropping new models all 200+k dollar machines. In 3 years when they have launched 4 new cars. How is anyone supposed to feel about a McLaren GT. Compared to a 570...or 650...or 720..

For their P1. Incredible machine... Except the hybrid systems are killing the car. The W1 will have the same problem. The Senna is cool and rare, and the speedtail rarer still...since it never would get approved for US import.

I love the details of McLarens up close. Compared the thr beginnings with the MP4-12C the styling got kicked up. The P1 is ultimate in looks, literally my number 1 of all time. but God the 720s is insane standing next to it.

Problem is. In a McLaren line up...many people would be hard pressed to tell you which one was most special. Overall...they are a bit fatiguing to look at. There just doesn't seem to be a natural focus or a flow to the body, so your eye just gets lost and you glaze over. In my opinion at least.

They do feel proper super car, but in 7-10 years when the style changes, will anyone remember fondly all the models from this generation? Outside of the engine and performance, I think not.

All that to say. Take with a grain of salt. My area has a McLaren dealer, and on any Tuesday night in good weather I can see at least 2 examples. I've seen hers & his McLarens at the track. So my exposure level may be higher than normal.
