KM when delivered

I was factory collection but it had 0.4mls on it!
Same here!

There’s no reason why it should be much more than this form anywhere. Even getting fuel would be less than 10 miles. Anything above this is concerning

1 mile on mine factory collection

I just retired from an auto assembly factory that pumped out 1500 vehicles a day. A lot of these vehicles need repairs/tests and are put out in the yard for later repairs or waiting on parts.... Weekend work etc... They get moved and driven around quite a bit in factory mode(kms put on are not recorded). Its not unusual for vehicles to rack up the kms although it most often tried to be avoided. Once it goes into ship mode it keeps track of kms on odometer. There could be many reasons why one vehicle has 1km and another 50km. Personally I would be okay with around 25km. If it had a few hundred or was a demo I'd ask the dealership for compensation. Just because the vehicle shows 2km on the odometer when you get it... doesn't mean it might not have 50km already on it from the factory. lol..

Some distribution models in various countries and regions will mean more delivery odometer readings than other places. Feel free to pass up your Emira delivery you waited 2years for if it has 50km instead of 2km :ROFLMAO:.

Clearly everyone has their own personal "line" of what is an acceptable amount of mileage for a brand new vehicle to have on it.

For some people that line is 1 mile or less. And apparently for other people that line is 33 miles or less.

Either way, to all those people for whom 33 miles is essentially a rounding error, I say: I'd be MORE THAN happy to valet park your car for you! :)

I had home delivery so as I was informed on delivery they have moved from Oxford so I’m guessing my car was ragged down the A34 prior to be loaded and dropped off. Anyway Ive now been waiting for hendy Southampton to get my car defects sorted, boot not fitting correctly, damaged cill, carpet so badly bodged it need to be ripped out and replace ceramic coating (dont have it done for home delivery, it’s shit). Good news is that lotus dealer inspected car 5 weeks ago and still no action or feedback from Hendy or lotus, yet they have the audacity to send me today a presentation box for my keys! Maybe someone from Hendy or lotus will read this and have the decency to make contact regarding the repairs. However, would I send it back? not a chance! Great car.

Could have something to do with where the parking lots are located relative to the docks. Depending on where the ship docks, unloaded cars may have to be driven around to the pool.
That's absolutely correct for cars shipped to faraway places like Japan, where the car is handled at several points along the way. Andrea's car will have arrived at his local dealer by road. As various people have said, different tests are carried out at the factory for different reasons - for instance, if some said that they heard a funny noise, it might be taken out again onto the shake & rattle test, or even the test track just to double check it. Or maybe they just take every, say, 10th or 20th car and do a longer test on it.

whatever opinions there are of BCA (await incoming....), I'd be pretty sure it wasn't taken onto the A34!

0.8 miles on mine...on factory collection...was told that the mileage can vary a little, not just because of the moving around required for the various different deliveries, but also as some cars are found to need additional testing when they have found squeaks or rattles on the shake down runs, they then address them and retest them accordingly.

Yes but that’s what 2 miles at most? 20 miles is a joyride

Mine had 11 miles, factory collection. In line with my expectations from other new cars I have bought.

One lap of the main Hethel track is 2.2 miles and I would guess at least 2 or 3 laps if an individual car is tested on that (accepting that not all are nowadays, probably due to new production volumes).....

I believe mine showed 15 miles when collected at Hethel

They don’t take them on the test track, so not sure how they rack up 15 miles. That’s a lot of times round the mini squeaks and rattles track

If they don't take them on the test track, how can they be sure the car's performance, handling, wind noise, steering and braking are ok?

Hi all, today I’ve been at my dealership checking my empire before registration….

it showed it has run 13 Kilometres despite it was still in transport mote!

it seems huge to me, talking to the ones who has one…domyou recall how many kilometres it had at delivery?
I had 20 miles on mine.
